Paramount + and Zuffa boxing and QUESTIONS
well paramount started up the boxing earlier than I expected (tonight) and another one coming next Sunday. They brought in the guys from ESPN and dedent fights from what little i have seen so far.
Now then on ot the other part now that I am once again getting back into not only Boxing but this game and my question hwo do i rate the fighters i se eon TV? I have PILLIAGED the fighters from here (now over 25K) and would like to contribut some to the mix so how do I do it? now for the game i adoped (as many of you know) a uni boxing format and divided it between 0-6 and 7-15 now here is what I am thinking (for now granted is more work but meh i have NOTHING else period anymore) so what I am thinlking is making it into 4 sections 0-1 2-5 6-8 and 9-15 the reasoning is this especially in the 0-6 ranks i am seeing fighters in thsi group with at least DOUBLE than what the 7-15's can do (with some exceptions) and it appears the reason being the tomato can 0 fighters. you thoughts on this. |

Regarding the creation of new boxers. I tend to look for existing boxers who are similar to the ones I wish to create and just copy them. Then I make adjustments to the new boxers.

Talent is a pyramid. There should be many more fighters who are 0-1 than are 10-15. Most of the 0-1 guys just never get televised.

hmm interesting cap and yes it is a pyramid. I just want to contribute to some of thes enew boxers i have seen on DAZN and this new outlet
but on to another story SOMEHOW Andreas Balsa got rated as a 2 and evem more amazing WON the 7-15 heavyweight title apparently what happene dis that his stats from pre prime (10 rated) were totally ignored and rated him a ridiculos 2 with a -6 defense o hp (and he has a ton of KO's in the game. Lost to Buster Douglas via 5th rd KO but beat Ingemar via 2nd rd TKO for his career 26th KO so far and MD over lennox. Can a 2 legitemiately beat a 10?? um no. but i think i will stick to the current plan due to it would be more work fo rme to do and onc ei go through all the real fighters then reset again pull out the bad ones (make retirements on them) mix in the good RFG's that performed well and lets see what happens. I was looking to see how you guys rate the fighters maybe compare to a 6 rated put in stuff you think that may work and try it se ewhat happens or is there more to it? |

The version of Andres Balsa I have came from my TB 1 and he's also OR 2 with a 2 defence (not -2) and an HP of 1. His record stands at 8-2-3 (3) against mostly 0-1 boxers. In real life he would be rated a 2 or less. His record is littered with members of the pork-and-bean brigade.

not sure where it came from but I have TWO Balsas one at a 0 rating and teh other at a 13 in my master files now in the heavyweight section he is a rated 10 with a 10/9 cf the same ratings i had on pre prime but a -6 def rating on defense on prime and rating 2. The only name that jumped out at me was Sam Langford who beta him 3 times in his career losing all 3 1 distance two tko's (1 injury) it just jumped out at me when i saw his record being so good and them looked at his rating of two and a -6 defense. meh oh well. based on Langford i kept the 10 rating on pre prime but in rality he should be way lower (the second guy i have of him) rating 0 and a +5 defense?

Balsa's record in real life speaks volumes. He lost to every notable fighter he went up against: Angel Rodriguez, Luis Firpo, Arthur Townley, Floyd Johnson, even Chief Metoquah, Jack Humbeeck and Jose Santa. His wins include three times with Armando Anderson, a poster boy for pork n' beaners everywhere. His best effort was a draw with Dave Mills, Jack Johnson's former sparring partner. Even a +2 is probably generous.

Until you mentioned him, I had no strong opinion one way or the other, Zy. I looked him up in my game, saw his OR and decided to look him up in Boxrec. Your 0 rating was probably closer to reality. Just saying.
It's just a game and they're just numbers on a screen... ![]() Cap
