stop having NCAA players signed to NHL contracts

I am seeing several players, who still haven't graduated from their college (or even Jr team) getting signed to NHL contracts. With commissioner mode enabled I can undo this, but I've had to make a lot of changes

players were set to have rights owned by NHL team but their assigned team is the NCAA (or Jr team).

is there a way to stop having these players signed? I want them to stay with their assigned college/Jr team.

if not this should be changed in future games

You want to force players from being unable to sign in the NHL?

That's not possible. College players in real life are able to leave at any point. It's somewhat limited in the game as it is. The workaround you're using is probably as best as it gets. Junior Leagues are meant to feed the system.

Just because a player's NHL rights are owned by a club, does not mean they have signed a contract. That's how you have players who were recently drafted playing NCAA hockey.

at least in FHM11, I'm seeing several players gets signed, who's rights were owned by NHL clubs and playing for NCAA teams. In fact the majority of the players are signed, even if the player was set to have multiple years remaining in college

I barely see this with Jr players whose rights are owned by nhl teams but playing/contracted to the Jr teams

Just because a player has specific NHL rights does not mean they signed a contract.
