Max Kepler Chattanooga Lookouts uniform
It's a shame, he wasn't really great but he was still a guy I rooted for. People will do anything to save their career I guess.

1877 Lowell Team Photo
I recently came across two photos for the 1877 Lowell baseball club, which played in the New England League. The first was printed in the Lowell Courier-Citizen on July 1, 1908. Major leaguers include Sam Crane, brothers Art and Frank Whitney, Sam Wright (younger brother of George and Harry Wright), Denny Sullivan, Curry Foley, Lon Knight, and Bill Hawes.
This same composite was printed in the Lowell Sun on October 17, 1936, along with a group shot of the club. Only a few players are identified in the group shot, but there is no reason to think the players are any different. Interestingly enough the uniforms are different in the two shots. |

1905 Grand Rapids Orphans or 1906 Grand Rapids Wolverines?
I seen this team photo listed as both online but I'm not sure which one it is.

1878 New Bedford
New Bedford had a team in the International Association in 1878, under manager Frank Bancroft and captain Jim Mutrie. The New Bedford papers occasionally printed this photo in reminiscing about the team. The attached image was from 1904. The identifications were printed under the same photo on August 13, 1916. Ironically, neither Bancroft nor Mutrie are in this photo.
There are also individual photos of players from the club printed in the same paper on April 18, 1920, this time including Mutrie and Bancroft. Top row: George Gore, John Piggott, Harry Stovey, George Washington Bradley. Bottom row: Charlie Davis, William (Billy) Stone, Jake Evans, Charles Riley. |

Mike Longstreth
The only photo I could find of Longstreth was of him playing football for Harding High School in September of 1966. This is from The Daily Oklahoman.
