Using ai for player photos - Page 8

Yeah thats why i like what ai can do to help.

It may not be perfect but i would rather not see an old man in a suit when he should be 25 years old.
Or like your image and i have seen worse.
Mlb the show has had the likeness of historical players.
I think ai can help improve that.

Found an easier formula for creating the images by letting chatgpt do most the work and i just basically edit. At first i was inputting the age i wanted the player to look. Then i thought why am i doing it. Thats what ai is for.

So i just ad it pull the ages from the net automatically.
Anyway after i get all the teams setup i can make a whole team much quicker.

Here is an example of the 181 Philadelphia Athletics that i completed in less than 10 minutes.

I want to get the same text font and format on the card.
Don't really like the comma after the position on some of the images.
Not sure if i want to have the name on the photo or at the bottom.
Been awhile since i looked at some baseball cards.

On my side since what's important is the visage this is the instruction I gave him everytime...

Force full frontal reconstruction (0° yaw, 0° tilt).
Ensure the forehead is unobstructed to allow clean frontal facial geometry reconstruction.
If facial hair is present, treat it as structural and perfectly centered.
If an optical accessory is detected on only one eye, assume full bilateral spectacles by mirroring the detected frame unless explicit structural evidence (e.g., monocle cord, clamp, gallery rim, or asymmetrical eye tension) confirms a true monocle.
Assume clean-shaven unless facial hair is unmistakable.
FG Modeller ready.
Colorization: ON

If all I have is a photo of the player as an old man I de-age after it gave me the result.

I added that to my base prompt.
Its been a struggle to get chatgpt to do the same thing every time.
Sometimes it gets the age and puts in the prompt where i want it and sometimes it puts the age where it wants.
Problem is that if it doesn't put it in make player look (age) years old in the prompt then it wont age the player.

These were made with hardly any effort on my part.
Just a line or two.
Just think what people with far better skills could do.

I also tinkered with having ai write a preseason baseball magazine preview of the season. Did one in the 1990s USA Today style.
Made a text reading of a 1990s sportscenter show for baseball highlights from a scheduled day of action.

Best of all was how much better options it had to offer for selecting a hall of famer for a simulated league.
Might try and see if i can get it to model different types of voters and take them into account but im not sure how far to go with that as i dont want the vote to rely too much on that.

Theres just a wide open field to explore with AI.
Yeah some players may not look exactly like the real players bit so what.
We've had players likeness in games for awhile now.
I can see historical photos of players in cards, books, video, online.
So it doesn't really bother me if the ai doesn't get it perfect.
What does bother me now is to see an old guy in a suit when he should be 25 years old and in a baseball uniform.

Redoing all my prompts to include a cap.
Have just the National League 1891-1900 team roster prompts to go.
Currently on 1875 and 1876 recreation of ai players.
The prompts themselves take longer than the image creation.
I had to just give chatgpt the player names and their ages from a spreadsheet as it would often miss a players age or name.

Here is the new 1871-1875 National Association Players Home jerseys.
I may do road jerseys later. That is if a team had a road jersey.
For players that played on a 2nd team. i went with the team they were on first. For their 2nd team i added the year and the 2nd team name to the end of their name.

Tried that Venice ai and it wasn't very good.
Instead of Will White i got Where's Waldo.
I used the same prompt and base image.

Almost done with the 1884 season. Got a few Union Association rosters to do.

Was messing around and see how close the ai could do modern players.
Its not exact replicas but i'm just seeing if it could be close so i can have players looking closer to their age and in the jersey of their team.
I can also use my prompt collection if did a fictional historical league.

Would be nice if ootp could automatically put them in the their team's current uniform as far as photos.

Restarted my solo league to get advanced stats to see what all the fuss is about. So far i am enjoying seeing the players in their team's jerseys when watching a game as commish.
