Minor Team Roster Management
New to FHM but not OOTP and I'm familar with OOTP ability to manage minor league rosters and find FAs to fill spots but FHM12 has me stumped. I have figured out how to filter for in my current case, goalies, to assign to my ECHL club but I cannot find any players (easily anyway, without clicking every FA page) to find players that are only avaialble on ECHL contracts, they are all NHL contracts which will count against my NHL limit and I don't necessarily want that.
How do you fill your ECHL/Minors rosters with cheap non-NHL contract players? |

You can't, because you're the GM of your NHL team, not any minor league team. That's someone else's job. (The AI)

So when the season starts the AI will just fill in players? I have zero goalies so just making sure. That's just different that OOTP or at least the way i play it.

Sign them to a 2 way contract that pays them way less when they play in the minors

As the above advice says, you can sign them to two way contracts to pay them less when in the minors. Otherwise the AI should sign players as necessary to fill their rosters when games come up. The minors don't work completely the same way in hockey as baseball. |
