couple questions for a brand new player

Hello All

Brand new to the game and boards. Just a few questions

1- If I want to replay the entire history of baseball from day 1 with no HR records no hall of famers yet and have that all determined as I go what is the best way to set it up?

2- I assume I can switch which team I control each year?

3- When you play older era games does it show the older era ballpark? Like Shea Stadium? If not can those be put in

1. Yes. Here is a good primer on Historical Games and the various options/game types.

I tend to play using "recalc" so player abilities hew to their real life ups and downs (default mode). Others prefer Career mode where players start the game with their real-world potential but could diverge for better or worse as the whims of the development engine dictate. Fate can kind. Fate can be cruel. Others play Replay mode which where players are where they were (real transactions and even real starting line-ups per history) but the fate of what happens is left to be redone in said games as they play out. Replay is best 1901 forward as 19th c. ball has too many holes for Replay mode without a lot of manual work.

Even within those frameworks there are a ton of options that exist to explore as you are ready. The board is great to ask how to do something. Have fun.
