Achievements broken?

Been playing FHM since the 3rd game but 11 has been my least played version, thus i decided to achievement hunt and some are just not popping for me


San Jose - Shark-Infested Final
Make the Stanley Cup Final by the end of the 2010-11 season



I tried this one in historical mode from 1990 to 2007 and won multiple cups with the Sharks, never popped.


so I started a brand new historical game from 2005-06 and won the cup with the Sharks, did not pop.


I decided to try it with challenge mode, and started a season in 2010-11 and won a cup with the Sharks by the end, and again the achievement did not pop.


any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Some of those particular achievements aren't tied to Historical Mode, but Historical Challenge. It's a different option.
