player development
what is a good development budget for your team. payroll matters for smaller markets but has anybody found a sweet spot to help develop.

Depends on the era of course, for those who play historical, but I try to exceed the MLB average figure. In part that is because I habitually assume control of bad teams I the throes of rebuilding, or expansion teams. Seems logical to invest heavily in the development process.

I don't think this has as much bang for the buck as it did in previous versions. I usually max it out anyway. I just type in an unreal huge amount of money and then it will adjust to the maximum amount the game will allow. Honestly if you don't adjust the aging and development settings for both pitchers and hitters you won't have much luck with development.

I went from maxing my development budget to the minimum. I'm not noticing drastic differences in the minors. For the Dev lab I feel like I'm getting as many successful and Outstandings as before, but I get more Poor results now.
