Glad you are writing again, CD.
I agree with you MLB uniforms should not have commercial sponsors on them or on the field. . Sooner or later they will end up like soccer and NASCAR. All MLB cares about is money, money and more money. Sooner or later they will not be able to pay the ridiculous salaries they are paying. Nobody is worth the money they are paying. Ohtani, Soto and Judge are grossly overpaid. Average ballplayers are grossly overpaid, too. If you want to go to a Dodger game, the cost for bad seats is $100. Who can afford season tickets anymore? I will not go to any more MLB games. I have been to 37 stadiums so far. That's it. Same thing for minor league games. They want $20 a ticket now. No more Minor League game for me, either. They charge $10 for parking, too. I detest the Minors now. All they care about is player development. They could care less about winning games. Sorry for the diatribe against MLB. I at least discussed some graphics about unis early in the post. We should keep the subject to Graphics most of the time. |

Dad's still hanging in there, and he's still putting up a fight, at least to a degree, but he's ultimately getting weaker and all, it seems, as more time passes here for us all. The nurse or nurses who are taking care of him currently seem to think that he may only have a certain dwindling number of weeks left in this world, at present, if I'm not too mistaken here, according to Mom, folks.
Also, my Mom's currently having to deal with a fairly good number of things related to me of late, too, trying to get me settled well enough, somehow, just in case Dad goes sometime soon. I don't know where I'm going to be, if and when Dad leaves, just yet, unfortunately. And just how soon I might be able to produce a lot more, or at least a few more, graphics for people's potential future use here, either, for that matter. She's trying as hard as she can to somehow make it possible for me to be looked after as best as possible, where possible, and for me to have as much freedom as possible, after Dad goes Home to be with the Lord and my already-departed brother. But there are certain people who are making things very difficult for us at the present time, for sure, in direct relation to such things. She really wants me to be in a place where I can deal with my grief and all in peace easily enough somehow with as little interference and all as possible from other people, if and when Dad finally goes away, whether I'm still living with her or not, somehow, in the same place of residence as she's living in, as best as possible and all, of course. And so do I, obviously, in the future. I'm sure I'll eventually get back to creating even more graphics around here, folks. But right now, we most definitely have to figure out what's actually going to happen to or for me anytime in the future. Especially if something sufficiently serious were to actually happen later on to my own Mom as well anytime sooner than later, somehow, in any case. Please keep us all in your prayers and all here, for sure, then. Thank you for your time and all here, for sure. CD out.

CD, take care of real life. OOTP Graphics is way down on the list the important things in life. Rather than contact me here, just send me a private message. That way we will not break OOTP protocol. As you know, this forum is for Graphics. We should abide for the rules. TC Dale has realy been kind to you and me and jg2977. He has given us a lot of slack. |

Some very sad news to report here from CD
I have some very sad news to report, folks. It looks like my dear Dad may go very soon from this world of ours, in truth. It could be no more than a week or two at the most, but most likely, it might happen within days. I'm really not all that happy about that, in at least one sense, of course, but if that's actually true, that he's about to leave this world of ours, I'll also be rather glad when he no longer has to suffer any more from what he's been dealing with for a while, in at least one sense, as well.
Dad has had a rather long life, and he's most likely about to go to his temporary rest. It has been a rather challenging life for him, to be sure. But I still do really hope that when he finally goes, that he ultimately goes peacefully from this world, preferably in his sleep, if possible, with as little pain and suffering and all as possible, for sure. It will be hard not to have him in my life anymore, obviously, but I'll deal with it, just as I've dealt with the physical bodily absence of my already-Homegone ex-autistic younger brother for nearly twelve years now. It will be another round of grieving the absence of a loved one for me, for sure, but I will still be forever grateful that my Dad was part of my life, and that he always will be part of it, even if he's no longer here, just as my brother no longer is himself. God chose wisely when He caused Dad to be my father, I firmly believe, and I feel the same way about how He chose my Mom to be my mother, in turn, for that matter, in turn. Will write more later, as time and all then permits me to, where and when possible and all, for sure, folks. Please pray for us all, folks, that we may all have peace and comfort and healing and help and all as might be needed and all in the days and weeks and months yet to come for us all, even as we all still deal with the loss or potential loss of certain loved ones who are sufficiently close to me and those in my immediate family, at least, if not also my extended family. CD out.

Dad is likely departing this life within 24 hours, or less, it seems
I have some very sad news, folks, to report, it seems. It appears that Dad may be going Home within a day, if not even sooner. Mother told me around 4 pm CDT today that he might be gone within 24 hours from that time, quite possibly. Dad has had a long life, and he's been fighting for a long time to stay here, in this world, but it appears that his time on Earth is very short now, if that's the case for him. He has been in pain and all, and has not really been eating or drinking, and it appears that he may go very shortly. I don't know when, of course, just yet, but for those who see this while he is still alive, please pray that he goes peacefully with no pain, no suffering, no struggle, no incoherence, and no fuss and bother and all, and that he may leave this world with a smile on his face and joy in his heart and all, in his sleep, if possible, and if it's the Lord's will that he do so, everyone.
This is very hard for me to write, but I'm still writing it anyway, with tears streaming from my eyes as I do so. And I can't fully imagine what might be going through my mother's mind now, as she watches her husband of nearly 57 years depart this world, either, for obvious reasons. Please pray that we who remain will be at peace and all, as we see another one of our loved ones depart this life and enter eternity. I believe Dad is and was a Christian, and if so, I will see him and my brother together again in eternity, if I make it to eternity with the Lord, as I hope I will, when my time of mortal existence in this life is over. I will write more later, as I am capable and all, I'm sure. But in the meantime, please pray for us all, for sure, in any case, everyone. CD out.

CD, you have been blessed with a good and Godly mother and a good and Godly father.
May your family be comforted in your loss and grief. May you be at peace, knowing you will see your family again in Heaven. To keep protocol here on the Mods Forum, let's get back to Graphics.
I just completed my 89th season for the Islandian Pro Alliance. I have been reporting on it since December, 2007. I will retire it when I complete the 100th season. jg2977 would like to take it over at that time and continue it. He will need some help in updating it with new logos and jerseys. Hope you will help him with it. Just help him --- don't try to tell him what to do --- just do what he asks you to do. Remember it is his IPA. I will create a new fictional league... a small 12-team league. Some of the best Graphics Gurus have said they will help me create the logos and jerseys for it. It will be my ultimate and final Dynasty League. EC is 85. I am in good health, but my time on Earth is getting shorter and shorter with every passing day. Good News! I am at the 940,000 mark as far as viewership on the Islandian Pro Alliance. It looks like I just might make it to the 1-million mark soon, "the Good Lord willing and those two creeks don't rise". (Yeah, buddy, I stole that phrase from the Shakespeare of Country Music, the legendary Hank Williams.) I don't think that has ever been done on the Dynasty League Forum. Dad's gone Home, it seems.
Folks, I just got the word from my remaining brother, who was apparently told by our mother, that Dad has just gone Home to be with the Lord, at maybe sometime around 8:50 am CDT today, if I'm not too mistaken here. Of course, I'm very sad about this, as you might expect, and am now crying with tears streaming down my face here as I write this post.
I don't know all the relevant details of his Homegoing just yet, but Dad should now be with my other brother, I believe, by now. He had a rather long life, to be certain, but his fighting is now over, and he's now been promoted, in a manner of speaking, from what he actually was in this life, whether as a military man or as a civilian, and now he's hopefully with the General of Generals for eternity. I'll write more later, as time and my thoughts and all might perhaps allow me to here. CD out.

Some graphics made in memory of my Dad. No negative comments, please
Folks, as you all should know by now, my Dad has now left this world. This set of graphics was done sometime within the last few days or so, in its various parts, and I don't yet have a suitable set of logos to go with it here, but maybe one of you graphics masters can provide suitably good ones for this just-imagined fictional team, somehow, in the very near future. txranger or no txranger, that is.
The font used on these items is Airborne. And there are quite a few colors in use for this new fictional team. This team is the Borolfelo Battlers, in truth. Dad was a soldier in the U.S. Army and in the Army National Guard of two states for a long while, by the way, mainly as an infantry-style soldier, I believe. The colors used on these items, along with the related color codes and all, are as follows: White (255, 255, 255) [FFFFFF] Cornell Red (179, 20 25) [B31419] Dark Moss Green (75, 83, 32) [4B5320] Gunmetal (12, 38, 46) [0C262E] Oxford Blue (16, 38, 67) [102643] Cerulean (26, 109, 143) [1A6D8F] Federal Blue (16, 17, 104 [101168] Dark Green (7, 37, 25) [072519] I would have perhaps used 071925 here, for the last listed color above, but I ultimately chose otherwise for the last color related to these items listed above, because that other color wouldn't have been a dark green instead to represent his longtime army service, but more of a black color for the related items here. If you think you can make a better set for this team, in pre-23 style, then you're welcome to try, of course. Dad was mostly in the Minnesota and Indiana National Guard before he eventually retired from service around the age of 60, more or less. Mostly the Minnesota National Guard until he'd finished serving his time in the Army or related other units, in fact, and gotten enough service time for his pension, if memory serves me correctly enough here. If any of you might make some sufficiently related logos for this team using any or all of the colors listed above, please try to take the infantry-related details well into account as you do so here. My Dad was born in October 1943, and ultimately left us about a week ago, so maybe you could incorporate the years of his life into any team-related logos you might then make here somehow. He didn't quite make it to his 82nd birthday this year, however, unfortunately. Please don't leave any needlessly negative comments about these particular items, at least. But any and/or all possible constructive and kind comments about them and/or other related matters would, of course, be greatly appreciated here by me, at least, for sure, folks. Thank you for your time and all, then, in any case. CD out.

Borolfelo Battlers
I wanted to do something sort of tasteful and simple for you. Military logos (current military, certainly), really aren't my thing, so I decided to focus on using all of the many colors you specified. You can think of the band around the second one as sort of resembling those thin metal chest band awards that generals wear.
I am one of I am sure many people who have followed along sympathetically without knowing what to say, so I hope these help a little. |

Thank you, and if it helps you out to know this here, I usually don't use the darker skins when I'm running one of my dynasties and all, in OOTP versions 18 through 22. I haven't downloaded or installed 23 and/or 24 yet, if I still may be able to download/install them on my next computer later on. I usually use lighter skins, if not the classic skin, whenever I play OOTP, at least for the baseball games, so if you could please adjust the above logos accordingly, I'd greatly appreciate it, for sure, 20_range. CD out.

Does the first one from post #4212 possibly have a white border around it, by any chance, 20_range? Or the third one? If they do, then I can perhaps use them on the darker-colored shoulders for the away-oriented ones, for instance. And the ones from #4214 on the home-oriented ones, of course. As for the big B's, if you could have them match the B's on the applicable uniforms/caps, as appropriate, that would help me here quite considerably, I think. The B used on the home items is in Dark Moss Green with Oxford Blue for an outline, it seems, while the B on the away items is in Federal Blue for an outline, most likely. Standard sizes of the relevant logos, of course, should be 300x300 for primaries, and 150x150 for secondaries. Alternate logos, if any of them are provided, can be at either size or use any of the listed colors from above, of course. Thank you. CD out.
P.S. The 34th Army Infantry Division, the "Red Bull Division," if I remember correctly enough right here and right now, had or has represented at least Minnesota for a time, if it doesn't still do so. Dad served most of his accumulated time in the National Guard and/or Army, I believe, while with the Minnesota National Guard, by the way, especially in the 1980's and 1990's, if that helps you out here somehow. He served briefly in the Indiana National Guard, while we were in Indiana for about a year, I think, before he and the rest of our family then returned to Minnesota in 1989. Dad ultimately retired from the U.S. Army with an honorable discharge circa 2004, after reaching retirement age of 60 years old, for that matter, 20_range. CD out.

New Glasco Celtics items, part 001 (CD-style)
Actually, I've been doing a lot of writing, with at least some considerable help from/battling against AI tools, to a degree, while periodically working with at least a couple of my currently-existing writing projects, especially in the last four-plus months since my Dad's departure from this world of ours, folks. It has been at least a bit cathartic, the writing process, I mean, but I am still trying to cope with my Dad's loss, as best as I can, of course. Just as I did a long time ago after I lost one of my brothers rather suddenly back in 2013.
I have also been spending a great deal of time learning languages on Duolingo, going to a nearby library, playing a lot of chess on Duolingo, and shooting a lot of hoops with both hands as often as I can, at a nearby fitness center. Hence why I've not posted for a while. But I am still around and seeing things around here every so often on these boards here. I have also picked up some classic novels, at least one that I've probably read before, those being Robinson Crusoe, Rob Roy, and Pride and Prejudice, with Defoe's book the one I've probably read before at least once. I was looking for Scott's Ivanhoe, but wasn't able to find it. I might have a copy of it somewhere, but if I do, I don't know where it is at the moment. And I don't remember reading much, if any, of Jane Austen's work before, either. I'm only about a chapter into Rob Roy, at the moment, I think. And I've also recently picked up several musical recordings, most from before 2000, I think. Although I've not yet been able to listen to my three most recent musical purchases related to Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard and Alabama, just yet, I hope to be able to do so soon. In any case, here are some new proposed home uniforms for Glasco's rebrand. EC, I know that you wanted just green and yellow and white and gray on the uniforms, but you wanted something Scotland-related, so blue for Scotland is included on at least a few of these things, if not all of them. The font, I believe, is Uncial Antiqua, if I have it, or Klaudia, if I don't, on these items. Just so you know. CD out.

Here are the new proposed away offerings for Glasco, under the same conditions as the new proposed home uniforms in the last post, folks. That is all. CD out.

Thank you, CD... I appreciate your offer to help me, but I just want Green and Gold.
And as you know, I just like traditional styles, designs and patterns on jerseys. Your style is a little avant-garde for my taste. Thank you anyway. I appreciate your time and the offer to help. I'm hoping txranger will create one for me. If no one does it on the Mods Forum, I will be just be happy with what I did. I think they came out pretty well. It is going to be hard to find a good symbol for Glasco... the four-leaf clover is the only good one I could find. |
