In a surprisingly one sided fight, wiley vet Julian Williams went Down Under to face Tim Tsyzu & easily outboxed the Aussie star by UD: 116-115, 118-110 & 118-111. Williams out punching Tim: 273 (39%) to 179 (20%).

It was a boring fight, Julian's movement not allowing Tim to engage in the slugfest he wanted.

Julian now 19-3-1 (9 KO's) & Tim 10-2 (7 KO's).

Last year Tim was stopped in 11 by IBO champ, Jermell Charlo, due to eye swelling.

Bud Crawford looked spectacular coming to Russia to face Magomed Kuranov finally stopping the Russian at 1:38 of the 11th when the ref & doc agreed the fight needed to end. Magomed's right eye was red & almost closed - he also had a cut lip.

Bud either was sniping with shots from the outside or sat down on his punches & dropped Magomed twice (combo & left cross).

Bud up on PL 401 (40%) to 131 (22%).

Cards read 100 to 89 & 100 to 88 twice.

In a stunner from Cuba, Eimantas Stanionis took the WBO WW title from Yordenis Ugas by UD: 144-143, 144-142 & 145-142.

Ugas looked to be the winner due to PL 276 (24%) to 240 (18%) for ES but the judges thought otherwise.

Newly crowned champ, Karen Chukhadzhyan, made his 1st defense in Ukraine vs. rising star, Brian Norman, Jr.

Karen won the belt earlier this year via an 11th round cut TKO from Boots Ennis. Boots was up on all 3 cards when the cut occured.

Brian displayed his power in the 2nd sending Karen to the canvas for a count of 7 from a hard left hook. Karen managed to stay away from Norman's power for the rest of the fight but the American took the belt via a UD - 145-139 & 145-138, twice.

Brian won PL 388 (29%) to 269 (24%).

Karen's left eye was swollen red due to Brian's powerful shots.

Return of a Legend - Manny Pacquiao came back from retirement to face the fearsome puncher in Conor Benn.

Benn knocked out Ryan Garcia earlier this spring in a star making performance with 1 punch. Then Benn was KO'd at MW this summer so he returned to 147 & hoped for an easy defense against a name fighter past his prime. After a slow start Manny reminded everyone why he was/is so great & took over the fight landing an incredible 60% of his punches to only 17% for Benn.

As Manny grew more confident he dropped Benn with a sweet combo for 8 in the 8th then later in the round a severe cut on the nose caused the ref to step in - that cut probably saved Benn from absorbing a terribe beating.

Manny was up 250 to 103 on PL & the judges had it 69-65 & 68-65 twice all for Pacman!

And these were two 5 rated fighters going at it - on paper an even matchup.

Self proclaimed ATG & GOAT, Anthony Mundine, came to Columbia for a voluntary against Breidis Prescott.

In a tight fight, Prescott out punched the Aussie 337 (20%) to 260 (34%) & won a UD - all 3 judges had it 144-143.

Prescott being 8 years younger may have made the difference.

Now Mundine's record drops to 5-4-2 @ CW.

In a stay busy fight, Brandon Adams went north to Canada to face Ian MacKillop for the vacant belt.

Adams appeared in control after 2 but in the 3rd, Ian hurt & dropped Adams with a combo for an 8 count. Then towards the end of the 4th, a hook dropped Adams again for a flash 1 count KD.

Adams was finally able to catch Ian in the 7th - a combo dropped the Canadian for a count of 8, then a hard left hook to the temple ended the fight at 2:25.

Adams is now 4-0 with 3 KO's at 154 & awaits his title shot.

IBF/WBA unification

IBF champ Caleb Plant came into the fight as a slight fav over the WBA's Boo Boo Andrade but Boo Boo appeared to dominate in a 15MD: 144-141, 142-142 & 144-140.

A combo sent Caleb to the deck about midway through the fight & Boo Boo won PL: 334 (35%) to 318 (22%).

Boo Boo is now 7-0 (1 KO) @ 168 & Plant suffers his 1st loss (13-1, 5 KO's).

In another stay busy defense, Jermell Charlo came to Germany to face Slawa Spomer & cruised to victory via a 15UD: 149-137, 148-140 & 149-138.

No real drama as Charlo out punched Slawa 384 (38%) to 201 (16%) & made the 10th defense of his title & moves to 21-1-1 with 7 KO's.

Jermell hopes to have some big fights in 2026.

IBF/WBO WW unification

2 newly cromed champs agreed to a unification bout so WBO champ, Eimantas Stanionis, agreed to come to Atlanta to face the IBF champ - Brian Norman Jr.

In a fight that lacked any real fireworks, Eimantas was just the busier fighter & won via a SD: 143-142, 144-141 & 142-143.

He also won PL: 333 (32%) to 299 (24%).

CW unification - WBO/IBO

IBO champ, Lawrence Okolie was so anxious to get WBO champ, Ryad Merhy into the ring, he agreed to come to Belgium to make the fight happen between the 2 unbeaten CW's.

Okolie dropped Ryad & almost stopped him in the 1st but Merhy boxed well in the following rounds & then dropped Okolie in the 5th.

Then in the 9th Okolie really started to beat Ryad up (30 punches landed & both of Ryad's eyes started to swell up, right/orange, left/yellow) & a huge right cross ended the fight at 2:44 of the round!

Judges had Okolie up 75-74 on 2 cards with Ryad up 75-74 on the other. PL 229 (24%) to 167 (33%) also favoring Okolie.

Okolie's now 9-0-1 with 7 KO's & Ryad's 8-1 with 4 KO's.
