Current NHL rink surfaces

Here is a Dropbox link to the 31 current NHL rink surfaces, based on rinks provided at https://centerice.thefaceoff.net.

I've resized the centerice rinks and reshaped the corners to fit the FHM7 dimensions.

-the image needs to match playfield_0.png precisely in terms of dimensions (2880 x 1344) and the location of on-ice markings, or you'll see players doing things like skating off the ice, apparent offsides not being called, etc. - it's probably easiest just to set use playfield_0.png as a template and either draw your logos, etc. right on it or set it up as a layer so you can measure things exactly when you draw your own
-team logos won't appear if the rink is modded, you'll need to draw them right on the image

As for other moddable stuff in that folder, the big 300x300 logos obviously are, as puck.png and goal_def.png and goal_off.png. Anything else isn't used yet. If you change the goal images to a top-down version, you'll want the back of the net to match roughly where the bottom-inside is now (the place that shows up as a darker grey line when the image is at normal magnification.)
Hi Jeff,
would it not make sense to be able to add a year or a timespan at the end of the rink name (like for logos, etc.) and so enable FHM to use the correct rink for the specific seasons?
Thank you!

What a great work. Thank you for this!
I took my time and combined your rinks with the outside part of the original rink to achieve a more realistic look at the rink borders and outsides.
Do you think there is a way to let the ice look a bit more realistic and scratchy instead of matte white?

Cant seem to find the graphics/rink folder to extract the files, could someone point me in the right direction?

It will either be in your saved game itself, or in quick start I believe (although I'm not currently at my PC).

EDIT: Yes, Quick_Start.

Would it be possible to get version without any years on it so that they are OK for all years after 2010/2021?
For example the Exel Center Minnesota shows a 20 years anniversary...
Same for Winnipeg, San Jose and Colorado...

These are such great additions to the game. Hopefully they can get a refresh some day.

This is great and all, but it's putting the cart before the horse. The action on the ice needs improving first.

To be fair, these are mods so they are separate from the 2d simulator which I agree needs a ton of work and includes new bugs this season. Work on the mods doesn't take away from the dev team time since they are made by users.

These are solid and here are the ones I use made by Flying Canuck and they are awesome! Some arena names have changed but they are still great.

I'm talking about how the action on the ice plays out. It's not fluid and doesn't really resemble hockey. I appreciate that they are allowing it to be modded, but if it doesn't play out smoothly on the ice, I'm not going to want to watch it regardless.
