2-6-3 Bunt Double Play??
I thought I had seen everything in this game over the last 20 years and then this happens. Down 4-3, bottom of the 7th. My leadoff batter reaches on an error. Second batter walks. My catcher is up and I notice he has an over 50 rating for a Sac Bunt. I rarely bunt so i thought...ok, I'll try moving the runners. He lays down a bunt first base side that looked perfect. The catcher fields it and throws to 3rd. With the Shortstop covering, he records the force, and fires to 1st to complete the double play. My catcher only has a 20 speed, so maybe that is the reason. Anyway, the other team had a meltdown in the bottom of the 8th as I scored 8 runs on 5 walks, 4 hits, and 2 wild pitches (in the same at-bat) and I won 11-4. What a crazy ending!

Love this. It's one of those plays that makes perfect sense after the fact; but rarely if ever does it happen in real life. For sure the rare plays enrich the experience, when you play out lots of games. Just when you think you have seen everything.....
I once witnessed an around-the-horn triple play in an [IRL] AAA game. Stunning. Hard ground ball to a 3B playing on the line. He fields at the bag and fires to 2B and then onto 1B well ahead of a slowish batter. None of the plays at the bases were even close. It all looked routine. But those stars don't align that way very often. [I've also seen a no-hitter in MLB, but the ground ball triple play may be more rare, statistically.]
