Scouting Report (Arm, Range, Error, etc)

In my opinion, it would be more informative if the scouting report included, in each report, any changes in the player's defensive values, such as C blocking, C framing, C arm, Infield Range, Infield Arm, etc. This would allow us to determine if a player is regressing defensively, since a player's value in a position can decline without significant changes in the overall value.

100% this would be a helpful indicator to have added to the report.

You can already do that under scouting history. In this example, the fourth column is defence and you can see this player is regressing defensively.

Cheers. Amazing the things I look past all the time in this game

I know you can see the defense rating associated with a position, but I'd like more details on the different factors that affect that total value. Those who know the game well know that the Scouting Report is associated with a position, and the AI often doesn't put players in the position where they perform best. My point is that a catcher with a 55 defensive rating might have 55 blocking, 55 framing, and 55 arm ratings, but the following year, while their overall defense might still be 55, one of those three ratings could have dropped. For example, a catcher with a 55 defensive rating might have 55 blocking, 50 framing, and 55 arm ratings. Even though the total is 55 for a catcher in the Scouting Report, internally, that player is declining defensively. In this case, their framing rating dropped 5 points in a single year on the 20-80 scale. Similarly, with all the parameters, a second baseman might have a 60 defensive rating for their position but lose infield arm rating every year.

Aside from regression in a position, for example for a SS, it can be indicative by looking at their range, arm strength, and error, which could be an excellent 3B, for example, and a SS in regression. That's why it would be very useful for evaluating players to see how the defensive parameters evolve, each one separately: for catchers, blocking, arm, and framing; for IFs, range, arm, error, and DP; and for OFs, range, error, and arm.

We, as regular players of the game, know that many times we see the player's profile and think that some defensive parameter has changed (color wise).
