Agreed on the first point, Brad. Nothing personal.

The effort is de minimis. Banned members are banned again whenever reported (often) or noticed. As I said in a longer post that was relevant to the actual ban (a ban that was agreed to by all mods so it's not a rogue one picking on you for some old grudge) at the time, the auto-calc discussion was fine (even interesting and thoughtful)... until it wasn't. The harassment of those that disagreed or offered counterpoints or that even hit the Ignore button and stopped engaging was way, way, too far on your end. I think you know that.

That behavior was also part of a pattern of behavior that had resulted in a ton of complaints dating back years and, despite expiring warnings, nothing changed. So, the warnings stopped expiring. I don't know what else to say about it. I wish you the best in all things, but as noted, I am obliged to ban this new account.

Agreed on the "putting up with rough edges" comment. No question there can be rough edges. But after five editions of OOTP, I know the work-arounds and I'm barely aware of them now. And to be fair many of the rough edges have been smoothed out by the development team with encouragement from users. It will always come down to who you are and how you play. I'm enjoying the forest but I refuse to judge anybody who is hung up on the individual trees. In a game of breathtaking detail, inevitably some of those details will fall wrong. Not everybody has a high tolerance for that sort of thing. To each his own. For me it's still fun, even when I am tinkering with settings to get things right.

Kind of easy when I essentially self report by sending a PM to a moderator!


I didn't harass those who disagreed. They tried to harass me.


Remember people said I was wrong and a troll without offering any evidence. And now, some of what I posted is being tentatively included in the Wiki and made it into the consciousness of one person posting to the pitcher stamina thread.
