Goals in quick succession at end of period [2D]
I prefer playing in 2D where possible. It's a very small sample size as I haven't had much time with FM12 yet, but in 2 out of 5 games I've had the below happen. A goal scored at the end of a period is immediately followed by another - with the second goal not appearing as a highlight. Obviously I'm not complaining in this instance
But it does detract from the immersion somewhat...

Really strange, it shouldn't be physically possible in the 2D engine for goals to be that close together. Might be something off with the game timer, we'll have to investigate.

Could you go to the boxscore and let us know the location of the last two goals in those games? It'll be on the Shots view, then uncheck everything except Period 1 and Goals.

Sure thing.
In the Tampa game the second goal is scored from just outside the crease (shot quality 3 if that makes a difference.) The subsequent goal on 20:00 is immediately outside centre ice in the Tampa end (shot quality 1). In the Seattle game, Pinto's goal comes from behind the net (guess he must have played a Michigan!) and Sanderson's goal on 20:00 comes from around midway between the red and blue line in the Seattle half. Thanks for looking into this. To be honest, I've got another save going (Glasgow Clan in the EIHL) with a much bigger sample size and I haven't seen this happen again. I had one game where a goal was scored on 19:59 and this wasn't repeated. So maybe just bad luck (or good luck in my instance) in this particular save. |

Thanks. I think I may have found a flaw in the timing of shots, so we'll see if that's the case and if so get that fixed. But it's also odd to get two goals relatively close together from such long range against goalies, so we'll need to do some checking on that as well.
