I'd just like a notification when a player breaks a record that isn't a milestone.
Like in my current historical sim, Albert Belle just broke the single-season doubles record. Only found that out because I was looking at the end-of-season statistics and saw Belle had 72 doubles and thinking, "Isn't the record in the 60s or something?" and going to BRef to validate.
Same for career records--getting emails about someone getting hit number 4000 is nice, but I'd really like an email for someone getting hit number 4257.

And making manager records easier to find and compare would be great, too.

Add me as one who is for that one... doesn't make sense that we don't get at minimum something in the news feed when a previous record is broken whatever it is a season or career record.

In the real world the newspapers would talk about this...

Yeah there is a whole next level of stats, records, streaks etc that the game can strive to include. It would just add so much to immersion and interest.

Per above, creating a SEASON version of the milestones watch report and then yes, use it drive some news stories. It would be easy to trigger things where a player wins his 20th game or gets his 200th hit or bigger, approaches or breaks a single-season record.

Similarly, some milestone watches on players moving up on the all-time leaderboards for certain stats… “Joe needs 6 more hits to pass Steve for 5th all-time”.

Yes some improved milestone recognition logic in game would improve immersion too.
I had a young 3B Rogelio Mendoza* who wasn't fully ready for MLB yet, but due to injuries got a short break to get a taste.. He hit a HR on his first AB, his actual first pitch!.. The game was just like 'That's Rogelio Mendoza's first HR of the season'.. like 'it ain't nothing but a thing!!... as opposed to something that just acknowledges that 'the kid's just nailed his first pitch over the fence!, what a start to your career, or welcome to the MLB!'

The whole game's statistical architecture probably needs a good overhaul, and would then unlock a whole lot of awesome things like that. I'm sure there are super neat algorithm's that could discreetly run during the game along a continuous ticker tape, shooting off almost randomly generated but contextually relevant (based on screen/team/time of year/event/etc)stats, records, upcoming records on the boil etc..

*Of course OOTP ain't got time for romance on your terms.. my debut HR hitter 3B prospect Rogelio Mendoza, went 1 for 21.. yo-yo'd a bit over next 2-3 yrs to age 24 and just never came on..and I traded him when another hot shot in my farm at 3B came out of nowhere and took his spot!
Love this game
