Easily pruning coach list

Is there a way to easily prune the default list of coaches? Something one could export or import?

It's not the world's biggest deal, but it kind of breaks the immersion a bit when early on in saves, other ML teams are almost always hiring 55-year-old guys with no IRL track record to be their manager instead of current ML coaches or former managers (or the occasional no-experience retired player).

For instance, teams love hiring Stef Vluegel, who I'm not sure even exists?

Not that I've found... for whatever reason, the personnel tab doesn't have the select buttons that the player pages do, so you have to delete/retire them one at a time.

Agreed. Would love to delete retired coaches. When merging leagues together, always end up with 10 retired Coach X, and either have to manually delete them all or leave it

Yeah, I want to get rid of the like 75+ year olds, the random Korean coaches, etc.

Or at a minimum it would be nicer if the AI manager hiring logic was a little more fine-tuned to where ML teams would be a little more likely to favor an active coach, a guy with a previous managerial record, etc instead of some random Czech guy who may or may not actually exist lol.

I've wished I could do this in fictional leagues where teams keep hiring coaches not from the game "region." It breaks immersion, and there doesn't seem to be a way to solve it, as you can do with players, ensuring all actively players are from the right region.

One part of the game I absolutely hate. I just do all the hiring/firing with house rules so I can avoid the hiring of bad coaches without experience, or the auto-creation of LEGENDARY types with 0 years of experience

I've always disliked that regardless what kind of world you create, the game creates personnel for a modern day 'whole world' scenario. Running a 1901 historical? Hello Cuban and Dominican owners. Running a small league in the deep south in the 1940s? Hello Japanese coaches and scouts. Its a part of the game that has been neglected for a very long time (maybe never touched?) and could be done so much better.

I second this sentiment

Just trying to help here. If this is a fictional setup (which I'm assuming it is). When you are creating the league turn off both the scouting and coaching model using the advanced features in the game setup phase. Then once you create the league turn them both on. At that point the game does a better job of correctly creating believable coaches and scouts. You could even add a step where if you are playing in the deadball era as an example, where you can go into the nation editor and edit the ethnicities, then turn on coaching and scouting. It isn't perfect but it is noticeably better and it leaves you with fewer coaches and scouts you need to purge/edit.

Hey, thanks. This is really good advice I will try out! It would seem the coaches screen the same editing features you have for players could be achieved, but at least your recommendation simplifies things in the current format.

Yeah I always go by house rules too and I won't hire some random minor/indy/etc coach just because they have juiced ratings.

This is what bothers me. Coaches that are Excellent at everything. Feel former players should be excellent at primary positions, average or fair at secondary positions. Non-players should be excellent or good at one or maybe two, but not all three. Unrealistic IMO
