Re: Ordered e-license Title Bout but can't activate game

I wondered if I could ask anyone for help. I just purchased online from PISD Ltd. Title Bout Championship Boxing from their website. I purchased 2 e-licenses for $12. I got the serial numbers and downloaded the game. But when I entered the serial numbers they do not work. Moreover, when I went to their help page the window says "DOS Attack." I send an email to "someone@pisd.co.uk" but have yet to hear back from them. Is this game deceased? Did I waste money on this order? I ordered the Windows version for my Dell Laptop PC. Any help on how I can get help to get this game running would be greatly appreciated.

You'll probably hear from someone@pisd eventually, but they are not quick about responsing.

Last resort trying sending a postcard or letter via post to:

Paul Ewart James Norman
78 Annandale Ave.
Bognor Regis
West Sussex, UK
PO212EX

This is his last known address.

Thank you so much for your help. I sent the email out last week but haven't heard anything. I will try and be patient. Too bad they discontinued this game. I do own Avalon Hill Title Bout board game. But when I saw they had this on PC I wanted to purchase this game. Looks like I am a day (more like years) and a dollar short.

I wanted to simulate Rocky Graziano and Carmen Basilio middle weight fight.

Thank you so much Cap for getting back to me so soon. I will write a post card/letter to Paul Ewart James Norman (Iong name unless you mean Paul Ewart/James Norman) and hopefully they haven't moved. Otherwise I am out $12.00. I see their webpage is still up and they are still issuing e-licensing (although neither of them work after I downloaded game from PISD website) which gives me some hope as it does cost money to maintain a website although I don't see much activity on this.

I mentioned earlier I do own AH Title Bout (original board game) and when I saw this was on computer I leaped at this. Guess I am late on this. Wanted to SIM Rocky Graziano versus Carmen Basillo (middle weight) "What if" fight.

Yes I think so since when I was given with the e-license numbers along with the link to download the game. But I can't activate it with those e-license numbers.

DOS attack comes up when you click on the FAQ on PISD webpage.

I mailed snail mail to the address I was provided. It should be there in another week. Hopefully they can help since I have not yet heard back from PISD email. But I was told earlier that they are very slow in getting back to people.

Any other thoughts?

I’m in the same boat. I’ve got 2 licenses for TBCB 2013 from a while back, but the download link they sent me doesn’t even work anymore. Feels like the game has gone a few rounds too many.

It’s a shame, because Paul Norman did some great work on the earlier versions, and this series really gave boxing fans something unique. Sad to see it fading away like this.

Okay, I just heard back from Paul and he did update my link so that I was able to get the Title Bout Championship Boxing 2013 to work. It took sending multiple emails and finally writing him a snail mail letter (suggested by CAP above earlier post) to get this done. Perhaps he can do this for you too?

Unfortunately, I noticed that the game doesn't have audio round commentary announcing as advertised on his webpage. Only text displays. Any idea how to get the audio commentating to work?

It looks like that feature only works on Linux.

Good point. I may try installing Linux onto my Windows PC. That way I can see if that text to speech macro works. I will have to do some research since I am not that tech savy.

Thank you for your observation. Zyberian Warrior also told me it was only on Linux.

Not certain, but I think Paul Norman designed his version on a machine running Linux.
