Note to the Admins; If this storyline of a fictional football league is not allowed, just let me know and I will cease and desist. I'm only trying to fill in the baseball off season. The process I'm using is completely my own and is not a commercial product.
Since the baseball season is over, and the CCBA is off for a few months before the 1951 season, I decided to move to my college football organization; the National Collegiate Gridiron Association (NCGA). If your interested, here is an overview of the league, and I will be reporting weekly with game results and other related material. ======================= What the NCGA is A 1949, mid-Atlantic–to–Great Lakes collegiate league built around three six-team conferences—Military, Ivy, and Industrial—with period rules and pageantry. Games are played on Saturdays with a Sunday “newspaper” recap (our National Gridiron Weekly house style). How the season works (quick) 11 weeks (Sept 17–Nov 26, 1949): 5 conference games + 6 cross-conference games. Postseason: NCGA Championship (Sat Dec 3, 1949): top two conference champions by tiebreakers. Liberty Classic (Sat Dec 10, 1949): the third conference champion hosts the top national religious power by record/merit. Thanksgiving week rivalries (Week 11): Army–Navy Game (National Military vs United Naval) — Hudson–Severn Trophy. Air–Sea Classic (Air Command vs Coastal Guard) — Compass Rose Cup. Command Classic (Western Military vs Southern Flight) — Shield & Wings Trophy. The Conferences & Teams Military Conference
Ivy Conference (fictional names, old-line campuses)
Industrial Conference (factory towns & ports)
New reader tips Home/neutral sites: Big games often book larger municipal parks (Philadelphia, New York, Atlanta) for gate and spectacle. Style of play: Think late-’40s—fullbacks matter, passing is selective, special teams swing outcomes. Where to start: Our Week 1 recap (“Saturday on the Hudson”) sets the tone; Week 2 (Sept 25, 1949 edition) begins the first wave of conference play. Next Post; Week 1 |

Coming Soon....
Author Note:
Sometime over the next several weeks I will be posting links to my "A.I. World Creation Project". This project is an ongoing fantasy baseball and college football scenario created and operated by A.I. with me as "Overseer". The NCGA I've been reporting on here is the football side of the project and the "Universal Baseball Association Reimagined (UBAR)" will be the baseball side. The CCBA which I have been reporting here is an OOTP league and will continue - but in parallel with the true baseball calendar. The NCGA will have a few more posts here in the OOTP forum before I move it to a new location that you can reach with the links I will provide here. As you will read in my Introduction of the project once I provide the links, my goal was two-fold; 1. to push A.I. to the limit to see if it could create and operate a sports league, and 2. to have both baseball and football in my fictional world. I also plan to document how I got there and the issues I dealt with accomplishing the goal. As far as OOTP, I'll pick up the CCBA in the Spring and/or do another round of Perfect Team - not sure yet... depends how much "overseeing" I have to do with the A.I. project. Anyway, it's going to be an exciting year (or a nightmare - remains to be seen). I hope some of you will follow along. |

Metropolitan Basketball League (In Progress)
I'm getting close to wrapping up the creation of the MBA. The current plan is to run all three sports (UBAR-baseball, NCGA-college football, and MBA-basketball) on a calendar timeline as follows;
UBAR - March to October NCGA - September to December MBA - October to April At the current time (October) I have just started (Week 1) the 1956 season for the UBAR and am halfway through the season for the NCGA. My thought is I will put a HOLD on the UBAR until March and start he MBA season now. Since there won't be any baseball until March, I will randomly post "Winter" articles about the UBAR in the meantime. In this way, and my purpose all along, is to continuously advance all three sports without overwhelming myself. If you enjoy following the day-to-day sports stories in real-time, you'll probably like this format. If your the type that likes to see seasons/campaigns rolled off the assembly line, then you may not. I hope your in the first group and will follow my Continental Sports Association regularly. The links are below (and will be updated to include the MBA shortly).
