Question: Career Stages and the Autoscheduler
I know this may be a basic question, but will the autoscheduler automatically advance a boxer's career level? Example: If Joe Blow is in the beginning of his career and he fights 50 bouts, will I have to change his career level or will he be advanced by the scheduler?
Also, what are the career dates for the three retired Ali fighters? Thanks, X

Good question. . .I don't think it does, but I have noticed that when using current/active fighters, the auto-schedular does not override what the set career stage is for the fighter.
You seem to have to do it manually, which is a real pain in the arse.

The answers above are correct. Let me add a few words: Ali (Louisville Lip) is pre-ban Ali; Ali (The Greatest) is post-ban Ali; Ali with no nickname is the composite Ali.
Selecting career stages was never intended as an automatic aging element. That will be part of the role-playing game. It was a means of adjusting a fighter's prime ratings in order to more accurately restage actual fights. Holmes vs Ali in their prime isn't an historical replay. Holmes in his prime and Ali set to END of career is more like it. Joe Louis vs. Rocky Marciano isn't an historical replay. Louis at the END of his career and Marciano in his prime is. |
