Can we temper player expectations

When about half of the players in my farm above A ball expect to be in the majors it just doesn't make sense. Especially when they are 20 years old and would get murdered if they played in the majors. Not sure if this is because player expectations are not based on relative ratings or if it's something else but I am tired of looking at my players morale and seeing a wall of red angry faces on the role column. It's not realistic.

Out of curiosity how old are these players? Do you use age and years of service limits on your minor leagues? Any chance these guys have a lot of pro years and should have been released a long time ago?

I ask because having just gone through every level of my minor leagues the only players I have with MLB expectations are at AAA. I do use age and year limits.

League has age limits. They range from 20 years old to 37 if I'm counting correctly.

Again I think this is probably a relative ratings issue but that still makes it an issue

Any updates on this issue? I am rather convinced at this point it is a relative ratings thing but that means the game has the tools to know better.

Yeah, I agree these tend to be overdone. My whole minor league system seems angry that they aren’t in the Major Starting lineup, but most of them are nowhere near ready.
