Just rewatched Ted Lasso for the 10th? time. Has anyone tried creating a player like Zava, a 100% selfish prima donna? If so, what happened?

I had a player sort of like that. A Cuban born closer who came into the league at 25 as an 82/80 and his overall actually increased until injuries got the better of him. I paid a hefty price, like $40m over 5 years but he came with his personality too. Selfish and disruptive and outspoken, the trifecta. He was a legend when he pitched but if there is a negative storyline, he sprung them all I believe. He never went to India but had fights with fans after the game, fights in the locker room, arguing with and closing off the media, it was pretty constant. So we're the injuries, never anything longer than 2 months but constant little things that eventually wore him down. By 30 he was a good setup man but a shell of his former dominant self. Still won a World Series with him too.
