PTWC Formats and Prizes

Hello, everyone!
Over the weekend, we held PTMS 2 as the Month of Champions continued! During our stream of the finals, we also announced the formats for the upcoming PT World Championship, which will take place Saturday, Aug. 30-Sunday, Aug. 31. This will be our biggest PTWC yet with three tournaments and three drafts leading to a final standings for the prizes. This will also be the first time that we have prizes for the individual tournaments and PDs.

Here are the formats, and please note the start times:

After hearing the community loud and clear on their thoughts on the prize structure yesterday, we’re making an adjustment to the PTWC prizes. In addition to the structure already revealed, we’re adding cards to the mix that will contain special PTWC branding!!

• For 1st and 2nd place – Content Director Paul Sporer will work with them on a custom player choice along with their username and placement on the card.
• For 3rd and 4th place – These will be pre-selected cards but will include their username on the card.

1st-4th will get their single perfect card as well as the prizes for 5th-8th through 65th-128th, which is slightly different from normal PTxS structures that normally included everything below your finish tier.

The remainder of the prize structure will follow standard setups with pre-selected cards for:

• 5th-8th
• 9th-16th
• 17th-32th
• 33rd-64th
• 65th-128th

…and we’ll have more details on those cards later this week. They will contain special PTWC branding as well.

These cards will be handed out after the contest is over with a September 8th commitment date. We’re allowing time to coordinate with the winners and deliver the art.
