Fantasy Draft and Real Rosters
Been thinking about buying this - Love hockey have not paid much attention to this game ( been buying baseball for years)
In either does this game let you create fantasy drafts from real life players like the baseball I guess what I mean is say i played 95-96 season - could i just dump all the players into a draft pool and do a fantasy draft

Yes, you can start all historical seasons with an ini-draft if you wish so.
Tonight the Steam Summer Sale starts, maybe that is a good time to try it out.

Sebastian,
I had brought this up to Jeff a few versions ago, but there seems to be an issue with historical and using the "set initial rosters by draft' feature. This is how I prefer to start most of my games, but the database is not dumping players who were free agents in that historical year, or recent draftees / rights into the player pool. Thus, if you try a historical year like 1987 or something, you get a whack load of players not in the initial draft, and some very good young players who rights are with whatever historical team. Even if you release all of these players to free agents, there is still no way to get them into the initial draft. Obviously this feature needs to be fixed going forward, as it is a bummer to not have a true fantasy draft with all of the players in any given season. Thanks |
