Teams releasing perfectly viable prospects

I'm playing a regular 2025 game and the AI Teams keep releasing viable prospects (especially pitchers). There's also an egregious amount of signing and releasing minor-league players, which isn't as bad as genuine prospects being released despite them being able to easily play at the A or A+ level. I've attached a screenshot of some available top pitching prospects (most of them were 2024 draftees) that were just released.

I'm running the following roster limits:
AAA to A-ball: 30
Rookie:50
DSL: 35

P.S. I realised the potential ratings of some of these young pitchers are inflated by my Highly Favor Tools scout, most of them end up being in the 45-55 potential bracket with 100% accuracy on. Nonetheless I feel that the AI should not be releasing these players which still have some upside and have not even played single game at the minor-league level.

We'll have a fix for this, as well as quite a lot of other development and minor league AI improvements in the next public beta patch which should be coming soon.

I don't think this has been fixed.
I'm running the latest beta patch 26.6 Build 73, standard live start sim. It's been a consistent frustrating issue. My 5th round pick, 3 1/2 star OF, was released 4 days after signing for $1.8 million bonus.

It's really frustrating, and not something I've seen in any previous version of OOTP. Not a month goes by without my assistant GM releasing a top 100 prospect (and often more). Having to troll through the transaction log every month and find them, then use commissionner mode to return them to me, is really frustrating.


Here's this month's example, though I could pull out many others. 4 1/2* potential according to my scout, 3* according to OSA.


My minor league teams are filled with 2* filler guys, but this is the one that gets released.

I suspect there's a setting or combination of settings triggering this in your case, as we have not seen this happening with the default settings. If you could post the league files for us to look over, that might help us see more as to the circumstances.
