dev program opt-out date very easy to miss in online leagues

I'd love it if the progress report/opt-out date for development programs was either a game event (on the calendar) or spanned more than a single day that it immediately has to be dealt with on.

this is a feature that makes perfect sense in single-player mode, but since there's no calendar event or warning, it is extremely easy to sim past accidentally in online leagues.

does anyone who runs an online league have a solution for ensuring they don't accidentally sim past it (assuming their sims span multiple days)?

it has to be accepted that you can't opt out in online leagues
