Recalc question

Would love to know the definitive answer to this question. This question is in regards to a player that has run out of real life playing time and therefore, no longer has stats to recalc. Just to simplify things, lets just use 1 year recalc for this question. Let's also base the answer on the fact that retire according to history and miss seasons is disabled. What I'm hoping to find out is, when the above happens, does the game simply stop running recalc on the player, or does the game run recalc on the player year after year using the players final season for recalc? Example, let's use Sandy Koufax. Following the 1966 season will the game stop running recalc from 1967 onward, or does the game continue to go back to 1966 for recalc?

I never play with retire according to history or miss seasons on. I always use a combination of recalc and the OOTP development engine. I really like the results I get playing this way, but sometimes it does feel like a player gets locked into loop in which it seems like he's repeating his last recalc season over and over. Could be confimation bias though, which I'm a huge victim of at times.

We stop running recalc. If player development is disabled, then the ratings will stay consistent. If player development is on, then development takes over from that point.

Thanks. That's what I was hoping the answer would be.

Where is the setting to stop in "Recal" in game settings? I only see 3 options in the historical settings: 1, 3, 5, years. There is no disabled setting. Can you direct me to the right setting?

Is it the box "recalculate" after each year based on real stats after each year, rather than the years options?
