Anyone ever find a picture or drawing of Jim McElroy who played for Philadelphia and Wilmington in 1884?

No photos/images are known to exist of McElroy. Spent a lot of time on his case, and he died quite young of a morphine overdose in the aptly named Needles, California in 1889.
I wrote a bit about his post baseball life on my blog a couple years ago https://medium.com/@BaseballObscura/...ed-984a1501305 |

Thanks! I know some of you are expert at finding picture (you are one of them) and since him going to play east with many other California players was a major news that year I thought maybe something shown up in the newspapers...

WOODCUT LOCATED Alex Skinner 1884 Baltimore Unions / Chicago Unions
John Thorn just posted this great woodcut of Alex Skinner (listed as Stephen in the caption) from the January 18, 1879 National Police Gazette.
Skinner shot his brother George at the George Wright Baseball Emporium, but since his brother survived, he avoided charges. Skinner relocated from Brooklyn to Baltimore in 1884, and through his friendship with Billy Barnie got hooked up with the Baltimore Unions and filled in a couple games - one for Baltimore and one for Chicago. He also umpired in the AA and the NL in 1886. |

Joe Jaeger 1920
I've been eagerly searching for Jaeger during his playing days and finally found him in the 5/17/1925 edition of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. For years the only known image of him was as an elderly man.

Here is a photo of Lee Walls I got off the internet a few years back. Does anyone have a copy that is not slanted?
