Unable to load flags

Hey, I recently reinstalled OOTP 26 on a new PC and I got this error: NATION::import_flag_image - unable to move down into nation_flags directory.
The game mostly works, but there's no flags or little icons for the leagues in the start up menu, stuff like that. The folder is definitely there, all the flag files are there.
Any ideas how I could fix this? thanks

The first thing to try with weird errors like this would be to go to settings > troubleshooting > force reinstall game data.

You also might just want to check where OOTP is installed on your system and make sure the full data directory (which you can find with a function on the troubleshooting screen) is set to have write permissions on your system.

Heya,

Did both, tried reinstalling as well as deleting the dataset folder, nothing works so far. Anything else i could do?

I think the next step would be to see if you can install in a different location. Maybe even on a different drive, if possible.

A trace file might also help us see if there's anything more than write permission issues going on.
