2025 draft results question

Hey folks,

How soon after the draft is over today will there be a full draft results CSV file that I can import into a save game? Ideally, I'd like a full 20-round version, but if that takes a while, I'm okay with that.

I think we'll get the first three rounds or so today. Might be tomorrow though, there's a little setup still to do on our end.

After that, we'll see. I would hope to have the full draft done by the end of the week if all goes well, with the exception of any guys who need to be added to the db, as that will take a little more time, especially to research the more obscure guys. Not to mention will require the next patch to get them in.

It won't be a .csv we post here, will just update the .csv for the live start, and once you run live start, it should automatically download that to your database folder. Or maybe stats folder, i forget exactly which just offhand.

Okay sounds good. I have a livestart that I started yesterday that I backdated to July 10 to allow for the draft to properly work, so it might also be nice to have the results posted separately as well.

The file with the first three rounds is up now. It should work on any new live starts (though I have not actually tested it. Give it a half hour or so to populate in the CDN and then try. If it doesn't work then, let me know here).

Some players might not load correctly if they are missing their MLB id's in the current build. Any of these guys will be fixed next patch (or in the next public beta build).

I also attached a copy to this post in case anyone wants to apply it manually

So I'm putting the folder into the import/export subfolder in the savegame folder, but I'm getting the error notification when I try to import it that the "draft file is empty." Any ideas why this is?

This is a file that will only work with live start, it's not an OOTP draft file to import/export from the import/export folder. If you put it in the stats folder and then run a live start, it will work then.

Anyway, this is updated through round 10 now, with the exception of a few missing players we'll still have to add to the db.

so how do i use this file i started my live start just before the draft? (when I do livestart for the 14th the draft just simulates by and like 2 players are picked)

You couldn't use this for an already started league, sorry

The live start draft is updated through 10 rounds, so running a new one should see a lot more than two players picked. There may not be the full amount since some of the lower rated guys toward the end of the first 10 rounds were not in the db yet, and like I mentioned above, I'm not sure if even the higher rated guys missing MLB ids might not get picked properly.

We'll likely have a public beta within the next day or two and that should have pretty much the full 10 rounds+ complete with all players active and rated.

I may not have been super clear with my explanation. Been working all day today on a holiday here in France to try and get the draft stuff updated as quickly as possible, so my mind is a little bit mush right now

I must be doing something wrong because I did exactly that and I tested it with Dax Kilby and he showed up still as not having any connection to the NYY or any other team

yea i put the file into my stats and made a new livestart and still not working

EDIT: It may be the live start is overwriting your file with an old one.

It's possible something is off with the live start draft code though. We'll take a look at it tomorrow.

Do you get any different results just running a straight live start from today?
