Simple question, I think..?

What is the purpose of clubhouse cards. Collecting more than one is one thing, but that's really all I get. I can't distinguish what the difference from regular cards and clubhouse, except by names.

I'm sure I just over-looked something that makes it all clear, and I may have asked and known this previously, but my memory and mind is definitely not what it was a year ago.

They're a replacement for tournament reward cards and are valuable because they require Clubhouse Stars, which must be earned and can't be purchased. Some are in missions, and many are useful in tournaments. If you don't need them for either, they sell for significantly more than a comparable non-Clubhouse card, especially the ones that are in missions. Take a look at the L10 for Clubhouse Edition cards. Thousands for the Iron and Bronze, tens of thousands for the Silvers and Golds, hundreds of thousands for the Perfects. The card ratings are also generally higher than comparable non-Clubhouse cards, which is why they're useful in tournaments and why the top-tier cards go for over 100,000 apiece.
