Texas St will join Ore/Wash/Boise/Colo/Fresno/San Diego/Utah States & Gonzaga in 2026. That gives the Pac (#) the 8 minimum to form a football conference. Hopefully they will entice Stanford & Cal to join them.

Nice! I think that USC and UCLA are the ones most in need of rescue from their current embarrassment, but getting the NorCal sides out of the ACC has appeal, too.

They should. W/collegiate rules the way they are now, all that Texas $ they are investing in 8-9 figure HS football stadiums can now be directed to college rosters. I would not be surprised to see an arms race in Texas before long.
