I hate my manager’s hiring choices!

It drives me bonkers when my manager gets control of hiring coaches and makes awful decisions! He’ll refuse to let me resign a legendary coach that has a personality fit, in favor of a fair rated coach that isn’t as good. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him resign a coach. He’ll hire a pitching coach with finesse focus when I have no finesse pitchers on my staff. He’ll downgrade to save a few hundred thousand when I’m perfectly happy to spend more.

I know I can disable it, but I like the idea of it. I just wish it worked better. Need to have it so there’s a resigning period, have an option for manager to promote from within, a budget allocation to avoid pointless cost cutting, and give me (the GM) veto power over some hires.

I’ve seen AI general managers extend coaches. Bigger picture, just remember all the other AI general managers and managers are behaving the same way in their hiring decisions. That’s why you are always able to get great coaches in the first place.
