Federal League updates request
I can't be the only one using Federal League teams. I have a save begun early 20th century and plan on taking it as long as it goes, into the current century and who knows. Unfortunately, the ol' Fed league styles get dated really quick.
Am aware only of txranger's update, he uses a stylized logo and updated uniforms. My request is to update Fed league teams through maybe three to four uniform updates - for example, 30s-50s, 50s-70s, 80s-2000s, 2000s-current. This may be a bit too ambitious, but... who knows. Any updates for logos an uniforms I'm sure would be appreciated by all who use the Fed. |

[edit] just checking out some of your threads, you have good taste, good eye. Looking forward to seeing if you can come up wtih anything. From what I saw you do have a style, that may be more intune with current era of sport logo designs (bold, heavy lines, aggressive). The bygone era of MLB doesn't really project any of that so a challenge for you may be in adapting to those constraints. [edit edit] the link I was referring to in the above is this one https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=303562 Are those yours? Last edited by WhiskyTango; 06-07-2025 at 11:20 AM. |

I've always thought the nicknames may have changed over the decades too.

Yeah, the team names aren't the most enduring are they. I have thought about simply changing them to NHL or NFL names and go with those but will see if anyone comes up with anything.

Indianapolis Hoosiers
I have so many projects going, it might take me a year to do the whole Federal League, but I'll at least keep the teamnames in mind. I also have some ideas for the two sox teams and Kansas City.
This is based on elements from the flags of Indiana and Indianapolis. Last edited by 20_range; 06-12-2025 at 08:42 PM. |

Naptown Torchbearers
This is the "city connect" version, with the city's nickname Naptown, and the team name Torchbearers and the year 1953 marking the debut of Toni Stone.

Those are nice. Allow me to make a suggestion (since I don't know you nor how deep you are into designing. Not trying to be condescending as you may already know this etc etc etc (typical forum disclaimer stuff)).
Designing thrives under constraints. So, I suggest using the existing era-specific styles as constraints. Iow, try to make each logo blend within the existing styles. This could be good practice. Other than that, this is a fairly big undertaking so don't sweat it. |

I am not low, I am 20_range (I'm not txranger either; I didn't realize that this username might cause confusion with his but it has seemed to occasionally)
The main restraint I work with is that the finished product and concept have to be something I like enough to work on Last edited by 20_range; 06-15-2025 at 01:04 PM. |

I know that Golem64 had done great work a while ago with the Defunct Saga, but if I had any graphical talent I'd be ripping these sets straight into OOTP and getting them in the post-23 jersey format. I never knew that my Tigers could have had a National League rival relocate to Detroit! ZigglarsTusk, you're our only hope! (to include these in the Evergreen set) |
