Assistant GM

Is there any harm to not having an Assistant GM if you are playing manager and GM yourself (you would still have a scouting director)?

No harm at all. If you plan on controlling all GM duties yourself, the Asst is just another salary you have to account for.

An Asst will give his opinion on trades, so there's that. I have played with an Asst GM, but mostly don't agree with his opinion anyway.

They are great to have though if you wish to assign some of your duties to him in order to lighten your work load.
