Could not create text file

Hey folks, looking for a little help here.

I'm the commissioner of an online league, and we just switched over to OOTP 26. Everything went fine until I tried to upload the new league file now I'm getting this error:

LEAGUE_FILES_UPLOAD_DIALOG::create_files - could not create text file

Has anyone run into this before?

I’m running the game as commissioner and trying to create/upload the league file for the first sim in 26. The file path looks fine, and I’m not saving to any cloud-synced folders. I’ve also tried restarting the game, but no luck.

Any ideas?

I don't play in online leagues but I had a similar problem in my solo game. Anything "text" wasn't being created, ie transaction logs, player histories, etc.
The fix for me was to whitelist OOTP in my antivirus. For whatever reason it was blocking OOTP from writing text files to disk. The game itself was saving as it should, it was only the trying to write text files that was an issue.

No idea if this will help but may be worth a look. Good luck.
