Horrendous forum response times

Not a good indicator of the overall health of the OOTP organization if a fully functioninig forum is too much of a challenge for the remaining team.

If that were the case, then it would be nice if they were to announce it in advance. Still, I keep in mind that this is one pleasure that is gratis for a change, so I take the good with the bad.

On the other hand, one may view these forums as part of the product that one paid for. Not just as added enjoyment, but for communication of ideas, information, and support concerning the game.

From that point of view, I believe management owes us an explanation of what is going on and a plan of action for remediating this situation.

Not so nicely, what the hell is happening and what are you doing to fix it?

Most forum users act like asses these days so they might as well get ass performance from the forum.

Is this forum ever become stable again? Ok, maybe overboard but 4+ days of spotty service on the forum is getting old.

and it's not just the baseball forums. The Title Bout forum in the basement is often slow to open or doesn't open at all. So I suppose it's all connected...

I had problems for 2-3 days. Loading the forum would start, then hang until the timeout. Today, however, lighting fast.

I would assume so if they're all on the ootp developments one, just different forums on the same network since it seems like that's what the issue is with.

This is really getting frustrating! In the midst of posting in my league thread, prolonged connection timeout issues.

OOTP Team, if the forums are going to remain a place to sell, promote, discuss, embrace, complain about the game, any chance this issue can be resolved?

Its been working better today for most of the day for me but at night it got a bit slow and stopped working for about an hour or two here and is going slow again. Its definitely a bug and I'm sure it'll get resolved soon so all we can do is wait.

Heh, I was joking but it would be truly funny if that IS what they are doing, mining Bitcoin. They are doing something with their website and forum computer that is degrading performance, that's for sure.

And I agree with you. When he/they sold out to Com2uS, that was the shot across the bow. You could have foretold certain things to happen as a result, one of which would be a lack of concern for customer service.
