considering buying 26

I am considering buying version 26 (currently have 24), but have a few questions from the other players here.

I have read many threads in this forum and others relating to game/season freeze issues and in every instance that I have come across, there was never any help offered that actually fixed the issue permanently and allowed the poster to resume his season. At least if that was the case, it has been removed from those threads.

I am currently a little over halfway through my 13th season (2 custom leagues, built completely from scratch) and had a game freeze and now that custom league will not advance. I have tried every suggestion in the version 24 forums here and none have worked.

So my question is simple, if there is a fix for this, what is it? If there is not a fix for this, then why would I purchase version 26?

Understand that obviously I have spent countless hours of my time creating 2 leagues and playing the games (have actually managed 90% of them). So if my frustration is obvious, please accept my apologies. I love almost everything about the game, but this is making me think about quitting completely and maybe trying a different game.

I have a suspicion that the game crash I experienced is what has caused the season to be un-advance able. So is it possible to just delete the previous day (or two-I had an off day too)? Or maybe just restart the season? Truth is, if something like that fixes the problem, I would have no problem buying a more advanced version of the game.

In advance, thanks to anybody willing to offer opinions, fix suggestions etc.

Not sure about your game's recovery as you didn't post the specific error/message being given to you. I also assume there is no backup.

Try what I suggested here as the steps I link to work most, but not all, of the time if you have not gone too far past the point where the game had issues.

thanks for responding. I tried this method and sadly it did not work.

Yes, I did not have a backup to revert to. TBH, I didnt even know about that feature, but thanks to you, now I do. Of course I will use it from here on out. Guess I will just have to start a new custom league.

Have you tried importing it into 25? Probably won't work but it's something to try

Again, thx for responding. I did not buy 25, have been playing 24 for couple years. Did not realize that a new version came out every year. New set of players of course, but I only play custom leagues, so the current players dont really matter that much to me. I saw an ad on youtube for a version 26 a few weeks ago and that was the first ad I had ever seen for the game. Got me to thinking about buying new version, then my game crashed.

You can use a demo version to import a game. No need to buy 25.
I only mention this as an option cause it does work then you can continue in 26 if you like.

Each new version adds features. There is a big jump from 24 to 25
