CS numbers

What do the CS numbers shown on the login screen and in game preceded with a star represent and how do you change them?

trick question? its your clubhouse points from tourneys and league championships. they are currency. I just traded 80 CS for 8 Lou Gehrigs. sold 7 for 28,000 PP.

Those are Clubhouse Stars. You earn them from league performance in Low Silver and above and from doing well in certain Daily and Weekly tournaments. You use them in the Clubhouse Shop to get packs or exclusive cards.

Trying to "do well" when playing the basic game is a real challenge. No way to figure out how to choose rosters as I can't figure out how to decide on good, bad or average players. certainly not the OVRs ( I have 1 with a 100,a few in the 90s and many in the high 80s' and many more lower. and they perform poorly.) Limited information on the game on the PT page as how to play. Very frustrating,,. getting close to quitting PT as it is not fun.

There is a learning curve for sure.

I would dodaily and quick perfect drafts. It is a good way to get exposure to different players and try different strategies, Also go back through tournaments and see what players the winning rosters had. Start with iron and bronze quick tournaments so the cards are affordable. Grind the live missions as the cards should be pretty cheap at this point.

If you've overlooked it until now, you should probably check out cwhitman's thread: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=363157

What are you saying, buy cards?

Yes, you'll need to buy cards in order to assemble a reasonable tournament roster. The quick and dirty starter method is to enter one of the Iron tournaments, put together the best roster you can assemble from what you have in hand, let it play out to completion, and then check the results. Look over the top teams' rosters to get ideas for improving your own team and then buy the cards you need to improve your own roster. Cwhit has a video on tournaments in the thread mentioned above.

So, as I expected, PT is not designed for pleasurable game play but for added cash flow after you purchase the original whole game, i.e. a cash cow. Since I refuse to pay to win, I will just quit playing PT!

I haven't spend one penny yet, although I might. 13 of my 26 roster are 99 or 100. Got to work the card shop.

I just let AI do rosters until I got in the "money" 9th-16th in dailies. saving and tweaking those.

Don't bother with iron or bronze. the Variant crowd has those locked down.

You don't necessarily need cash infusions to buy cards. You're earning Perfect Points from a variety of sources even if you do nothing. Assembling a decent Iron tournament team can be done with the 4000 or more PP you can get from selling one Diamond card. No cash needed.

Smile

Pulling a 100 Dickey from a Challenge League pack in week 2 helped a bit for me.

Yes, there's always pack luck. I pulled a 103 Skubal Combinator last year and sold it for two million points. That was enough to fund my team into Perfect League.

I have done the AI thing a number of times and it always did worse than when I build the roster. This is no longer worth the aggravation. Games are supposed to be fun.

I open 10-12 pack/week. On like day 68 of consecutive log ins. After all these years, have no favorable strategy telling me to buy packs, hoping for the God Card. All I see is 60% to 80% dups in every one. Just bad odds so I focus on the shop.

Only other game I play is Eve Online. That hasn't been fun in 15 years.

Dude, there's people trying to steer ya in a direction to help you out and help you get better without spending actual IRL money, could you at the very least humor them for a second?

Dude, It is still a cash cow thing, not enjoyment. Think about that for a second.

OK, then stay mad at the game and eschew a chance to enjoy it, I guess
