AI Changing Lineups and Rotation even though I am controlling lineups and Rotation

Not sure if this is a bug or not, but I am set to have control over lineups and rotations. Randomly throughout the season the AI will change my Rotation and Lineups/depth chart without me telling them to.

How can I fix this? I am set to have full control of this. Coaching and scouting is disabled.

Any help would be appreciated.

MLB Menu -> League Settings -> Global Settings

Left pane, at bottom, "GM only users are always in control of lineups and hiring (legacy mode)"

I checked that box and it still changed my rotations and lineups. Any other ideas on how to fix this?

Are you the actual GM of the team and not "act as"?

Suggest you double check the GM preferences pages to verify all the relevant responsibilities are assigned to you and that you aren't on vacation. If everything discussed is right then there's a bug.

I am in control of everything except the following according to my Manager Options Screen:

Minor League Promotions/Demotions
Minor League Lineups/Depth Charts/Pitching Staffs
Minor League Player Strategy
Minor League Player Development Focus

The lineup and pitching staff changes have been randomly happening on my MLB team.

I believe this is a bug.

I have experienced a bug today that may be related. When I check the "lock to team/enable strategy settings" box on a minor leaguer's strategy page, the AI still promotes and demotes him. I do have that task delegated to my assistant GM, but obviously the box is supposed to override that. Perhaps there is a broader AI power trip bug at the moment

I'd submit a support ticket and send in the file for them to examine.

One other thought is have you tried uninstall/reinstall? Or if on Steam verify the installed files? Perhaps something is borked on your install and some code is missing? I know, grasping but maybe worth a try.

I've played with the AI only allowed to set minor league lineups and pitching staffs for years without issue. It is working the same in v26 with my imported game. If it were a widespread issue there would be tons of posts. There's not suggesting settings (which you have checked and found nothing) or something not working right in your game.

It has to be very frustrating, I hope you find the cause.

The scenarios that this could happen in usually are one of these:
-You were not hired, but only have chosen to "Act as"
-Your manager has a high enough reputation to control lineups (and you don't have the legacy option selected)
-You are playing with the "Do Not Disturb" mode active

In all 3 cases the AI can control and change lineups. If it's not any of those, then we would suggest to at least post some screenshots, and would need you to upload your league files (https://support.ootpdevelopments.com...p-developments) for us to investigate further.

I have played this game for over ten years and I NEVER knew that there was a difference between “acting as” a GM and being “hired” as a GM. I have always noticed little blips along the way as far as roster management, but it was never a huge issue. Now I am starting to wonder.

I guess it’s just more settings to adjust. Lol!

I had bugged this same problem some time ago. It seemed to mess with major league lineups primarily when I sent someone down that caused the AI to juggle minor league rosters. Using none of the scenarios Matt mentioned above. I finally gave up and just took over minor league roster changes myself.

-I did this league as Play In Commissioner Mode, as well as Cannot Be Fired. So I don't think I couldn't have been hired?
-I have coaching disabled. So this shouldn't be an issue.
-Do not disturb - I don't think I have this on. Where would I see this option?

After i check on do not disturb, if that isn't the issue, I'll send screenshots and upload the files.

It's a toggle in the Manager's Office. See lefthand side of screen.

In fact, screenshot the page shown. Note the three different things it says on the righthand side with regard to Not running a team, ACTING AS and actually being in control. All of this is under "Team Control Settings".

Thanks for this. Checked all of those settings. I am managing the Tampa Bay Rays and it says that on the right. I am not on Do Not Disturb. As I said earlier only items I have the AI controlling are:

Minor League Promotions/Demotions
Minor League Lineups/Depth Charts/Pitching Staffs
Minor League Player Strategy
Minor League Player Development Focus

Looks like this tends to happen sometimes when I take someone off the DL back onto the active roster. Could that be a bug?

This is happening to me at the start of every offseason in 26 so far. I control everything, no Do not Disturb is on. As soon as the offseason hits, my lineup gets shuffled and my pitching staff is completely switched around. Have to go in and move everyone back to their positions.
It only happens for me at the start of the offseason, once I fix it, it is good to go until the end of the next season

lol i too must have missed that in the manual or tooltips or online help
