Drafted and signed Tris Speaker in 1905 and he's never been on my reserve or anyone's roster

I drafted Tris Speaker as a steal in the 1905 draft in my historical sim and I gave him a signing bonus of $61. However, he was never put on my reserve roster and he's been wearing a free agent suit for 3 years with No Team and Draft Eligible (whatever the previous season was). He hasn't been in the draft again and there's no way to sign him as a free agent.

Does your reserve roster have a ton of people? This happened to me in one save. There's some invisible limit and if you go past it, the players you draft essentially get locked out.

Yes, I believe that is what happened. My real inquiry is whether there's any way I can free Tris Speaker from this Limbo.

You'd need to release enough players from the reserve roster to get below the limit. Then the guys in limbo should start showing up.
