Players developing too quickly
I'm in 1982 in a 1976 start and there are a lot of players making it to the majors 2+ years earlier than they did IRL. For example, I'm a week into the 1982 season and there are 16 players 20 and under (including a 17 year old Dwight Gooden). Is there a setting that I can change to slow it down a bit.
Edit: I just checked 1982. There were 5 players 20 and under with only 1 19 year old(Edwin Nuñez). Last edited by LoneRhino; 05-29-2025 at 12:04 PM. |

The CPU tends to promote young players extremely early imo when it is unwarranted. I see star players get to FA at 24/25 years old quite regularly. Tis what it tis.

Are you playing with recalc turned on and real minor league players imported? If so thats why Gooden for example is developed enough for the AI to call him up to the majors in 82 as opposed to 84 when he actually came up. He had minimal minor league stats in 1982, very good minor league stats in 1983 and very good major league stats in 1984.
