New League - Out of Order Baseball - Website Up

The Out of Order Baseball League is now up and running.

The structure of the league will be as close as possible to real MLB starting with the 1901 season. The original 16 franchises will be there and they will move through history as their real counterparts did, into new stadiums and into different cities.

The league's ballplayers will be imported each year from my own modified version of Ankit's Normalized database. Era settings will also follow that of MLB. The initial 1901 season will begin with an initial player draft. Financials will be turned on, Scouts will be turned off, and the DH rule will never be used.

Now for the twist: Each year will have a randomly picked rookie class imported into the league. These classes will consist of rookies from 1871 - 2002(And more when stats become available). Some rookie classes will be made up of multiple years especially from the 19th century since some years have very few new players. For example, rookies in 1902 may consist of Pete Rose and all other players who debuted in 1963 from Ankit's database.

The one special case for this is the initial 1901 season. I have already randomly selected 1951 as the starting point for the players. All players in the Ankit database who played in 1951 have been imported as if they were 1901 rookies.

Every year during the pre-season, I will randomly select a new year which will become the next rookie class. This means Babe Ruth could be a rookie in 1980 while Barry Bonds might debut in 1904. I will adjust all player's birth years so they will debut in OOOBL at the same age they did in real life.
