OOTP 25 unplayable as it is?

I have gone through about 10 seasons and there’s almost no one in the league rated above a 55 current. Every draft there’s maybe 2 decent players and after the second round you’re left with 87 relievers with 6+ ERA’s in college and a few random position players all with 2 star potential.

The development lab has also been kind of a downer. I’ve had some good successes, but it seems like “exceptional” growth means 1 to 2 points on an attribute that they immediately give back up a few scouting cycles in the future.
