OOTP 26 Patch Released: 26.3.55

Hi to all our fans!

We are ready to release the next patch for OOTP 26, 26.3.55. I know it's taken some time to get out, but hopefully it should add some stability to the game. We'll keep working towards other updates, so please do keep sharing your feedback and issues in the appropriate places.

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Updates always contain all the changes from previous updates. Saved games are compatible between different versions. Steam users the update should apply automatically when you next load up the game.

• Fixed sort by personality rating when rating hidden by accuracy rating
• Fixed newly added tournaments inconsistent events/schedule
• Adjusted development/aging:
  **Adjusted defense, mostly to slow aging and keep more players with playable defense later in careers
  **Adjusted Avoid K to age smoother
  **Slow control development for a small portion of players
• Added double current weight as option to historical import dialog. Fixed issues with minor league import
• Fixed some hidden personality ratings with 100% scouting
• Fixed draft pick popup
• Fixed new game 2025 HOF inductees
• Fixed draft combine not populating in historical games
• Fixed tournament team selection
• Fixed players disappearing from minor league organizations
• Improved FPS on Mac
• PT: Fixed some images on Universe tab
• PT: Fixed LE Badge issues
• PT: fixed drafts being filtered by roster restrictions
• PT: fixed fetching auction text not updating
• PT: added tournament standings filter and missing event
• PT: fixed manager level backgrounds
• Misc roster updated, misc bug fixes, UI fixes

Important info for online leagues: This patch should be compatible between versions, however it is always recommended that all league members update to the latest version
Important info for mac users: With this change, we have made some changes to increase the in-game frame rate on macs. You may notice smoother game action. However, this may also cause some machines to do more work. If you are noticing your machine running hotter than expected, we recommend to go to the File->Settings, in the 3D tab, and setting an FPS limit to 60 or 120 (depending on your monitor). That should still leave good performance while not taxing the machine as much.

Here's a PC installer (Fastspring) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch:

When running in Korean on a MacBook, the PT League UI is not normal.
When running in Korean on a MacBook, the PT League UI is not normal. The sales input field is small and sometimes does not appear at all.

In the case of the modified marketplace, you cannot see any cards.

The first version was fine, but the two beta versions are really disappointing.

We're aware of those issues, that is next on our list to look at to see what has changed and how to correct things.

Born and raised in Sweden so I can't say i dreamed about baseball when young but thanks to this game I learned the most beautiful sport there is. Thanks for creating the ultimate game for a family-man to escape to here and there. Thanks for creating the game I would have dreamt about as a kid if baseball was part of my life.

I know there is a specific thread for this, but it seems to have been missed when I posted it. Apologies if this is out of place.

Minor UI/typo issue in that under the awards section in league history, Ronald Acuna Jr is listed as winning the American League MVP, and Shohei Ohtani is listed as National League MVP. They need to be swapped around.

Both players have their team acronym listed after their name as ( ) rather than (ATL) and (LAA) respectively, presumably because the awards screen couldn't reconcile the player being on a team from the other league.

Is the mac link correct?

Hi, please feel free to redirect me to a different subforum in case this one is not the place to highlight the issues or in case those have been already highlighted and noted by the Dev. Team.

1- For most/all players the Playoff stats are missing partially/completely. No playoff stats past 2021 season in any of the games (Standard, Quick, Custom, LiveStart) i have started.

2- LiveStart-Games show mostly accurate and up to date Player and Team stats however the Player Games Started are blank/zero for 2025.

Any chance to fix that? It seems like basic corrections but the current state significantly diminishes the value of historical stats comparison.

Does this not populate when scouting is off/100% for historical? Just curious since it isn't populating in my current save.

I don't understand why it keeps asking me to update to the latest version when I'm following the directions exactly. I can't get into PT because of this.

It's as if the Mac install patch is using a file that isn't up to date.

The first steps we'd always recommend would be to make sure to clear your downloads folder, to make sure the new version isn't getting saved to a new spot.

The next step is probably to double-check where you installed things the first time, and make sure the new version installs on top of that fully. Sometimes it can be easy to forget if you installed it to a custom directory and the link you use to open the game points to the wrong file.

Another option could be to fully un-install the old version, and then install the new one. That could help if there's a permissions thing where the new version doesn't get properly installed.

Clearing my downloads didn't work, but completely uninstalling and reinstalling worked. Thanks for your help.
