OOTP 26 Public Beta Patch: 26.3.55

Hey everyone! Hopefully spring is hitting in full force for you

We've been working through many of the issues reported, and we know everyone has been eagerly awaiting this next patch. But it should be ready now, and we are aiming to release the patch, 26.3.55, very shortly.

Use this at your own risk! Please back up important league files before loading them in this beta.

Changelist 26.3.55

Updated Negro Leagues player injury prone ratings
Fixed sort by personality rating when rating hidden by accuracy rating
Fixed newly added tournaments inconsistent events/schedule
Adjusted development/aging:
**Adjusted defense, mostly to slow aging and keep more players with playable defense later in careers
**Adjusted Avoid K to age smoother
**Slow control development for a small portion of players
Added double current weight as option to historical import dialog. Fixed issues with minor league import
Fixed some hidden personality ratings with 100% scouting
Fixed draft pick popup
Fixed new game 2025 HOF inductees
Fixed draft combine not populating in historical games
Fixed tournament team selection
Fixed players disappearing from minor league organizations
PT: Fixed some images on Universe tab
PT: Fixed LE Badge issues
PT: fixed drafts being filtered by roster restrictions
PT: fixed fetching auction text not updating
PT: added tournament standings filter and missing event
PT: fixed manager level backgrounds
Misc roster updated, misc bug fixes, UI fixes

Important info for online leagues: This patch should be compatible in online leagues

How to access the beta on Steam:

Quit OOTP 26 if it's running.
Open Steam client -> Library
Right click on Out of the Park Baseball 26
Click on "Properties" at the bottom of the menu
Click on the beta tab. Here, enter the following code: ootp26betapt
Click on "Check code"
Open the beta pull-down and select "publicbeta".
Close the Steam client (Steam menu -> Exit)
Open the client again. It should then download the beta build.

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Updates always contain all the changes from previous updates. Saved games are compatible between different versions.

Here's a PC installer (Fastspring) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch:

Is reliever contracts fixed in this or will it be fixed in future? I saw a couple international free agent relievers making 30m a year

It seems like the Mac heat issue is back. 164 degrees in game, cools down to 112 as soon as I quit.

EDIT: I uninstalled and reinstalled. All my saves were still there. Guess I will wait until the patch is official lol.

Weird issue on Mac after downloading patch through Steam.

The icon changes to "23" and I get the attached error message. Luckily I don't really have anything I'd be torn up to lose...but any advice?

If you move the .sc files and other construction kit files to the individual save you want to use them in, does that work? Or do you still have other issues with those parks?

The Control rating was developing a little fast, so we've slowed it down (but the change only impacts a portion of players, others will still develop as before)

Some you can report here, or otherwise in these forums or the bug reports forum, depending on the nature of feedback whether it's a bug or a discussion or a comment.

Roster work is always being done. I'm not sure specifically what's changed since the last patch, likely a lot.

We may have adjusted some, but we'll keep an eye out still on that. I think in some cases guys might be listed as relievers but if they're borderline capable to start, they might value themselves that way. But there may be other issues.

You might want to go into the File->Settings, in the 3d, and apply a limit to the frames to 60 or 120, and see if that helps.

Definitely seems like something got broken in the install. You're working through steam, so I would suggest you use the "verify local files" function to make sure things are consistent.

Is it difficult to modify the PT sales input window and various UIs in the Korean language? It worked well in the first version... If the two betas are like this, I'm very disappointed.

Hi, sorry for double posting and please feel free to redirect me to a different subforum in case this one is not the place to highlight the issues or in case those have been already highlighted and noted by the Dev. Team.

1- For most/all players the Playoff stats are missing partially/completely. No playoff stats past 2021 in any of the games (Standard, Quick, Custom, LiveStart) i have started.

2- LiveStart-Games show mostly accurate and up to date Player and Team stats however the Games Started are blank/zero.

Any chance to fix that? Thanks for the hard work!

I have not seen anything dealing with development happen too fast prior to this patch. It is too early to determine how development is going with the latest patch, at least it is too early for me.

Hi Matt & Dev Team - thanks for all the hard work on the game.

As I play games out, it seems like pictures are recreated with each AB. (Blue bar at top reloads "creating pictures") It's a small delay, but a nuisance once I notice it. Is this something on my end or could it be game related?
