Upset
Just venting.
I completed the 2025 season for the Cardinals. About halfway through, the game started having trouble doing backups -- getting an error message every time I tried. But I had not had any crashes, so I played on through. Get into the off-season, and I notice the day for setting arbitration numbers and free agency is late in November rather than just after the end of the regular season. So, I adjust them to the actual dates. I do my arbitration offers. Minor-league offers. When free agency date hits, all of my arbitration eligible players I offered contracts are being paid $0 and the minor leaguers have all been released. I am 99 percent sure I saved the game folder at the end of the regular season but cannot find it. The 2025 season went so well, I was really looking forward to continuing it. And it is my fault for not finding a way to back the game up. But I am just venting right now and will probably delete this in the morning Sorry for the rant Last edited by rink23; 05-05-2025 at 06:27 AM. |

Not sure why backups would be crashing, but an alternative for the future if necessary is just to copy the .lg folder manually to your backup folder (or elsewhere.)

Also, I recommend not changing the dates of offseason events. In OOTP, they are usually after all the awards, so there is always some delay between the end of the season and when arbitration and free agency starts.
