Here are you career stats.
Arthyr and Gordon Freeman are retired. Arthyr was a good solid shortstop and fair hitter... good fielder... made the All-Stars teams in 2076 and 2081. Gordon played for 14 teams and only had one good year. That was with LaGrange when he went 15-10. He also got some playing time as a position player, too. Jeff Grubin is still playing, but is show signs that retirement may be getting closer. He has been a pretty decent second baseman... not really much of a hitter. In 2086 I batted .253 with 11 home runs, that's not too shabby! But in 2087 at the midway point I'm only .224 with 1 dinger.
According to my baseball card I was 25 in 1881, which would make me 31 now. I should be in my prime. Maybe I am regressing. We'll see how I do in the second half of the 1887 season. |

CD the Turtle checking in on his 52nd birthday, hahahaha!
Hi, everyone. I haven't been around here, in terms of posting for a while, at least, simply because I've mainly been writing and all for a while, with or without at least some AI assistance, on one or more of my writing-related projects, and I've also been doing other things of late, such as going to libraries and all for some time, at least, when and where possible.
I read a big book about the historical baseball teams in St. Louis, but unfortunately, quite a lot of bad language was periodically used in it. But it actually was a non-fiction-type book, in truth, and it had many quotes by various people associated with the Cardinals and/or the Browns, for instance. I really didn't like the profanity included in the book, and all, of course, but if one is to tell the truth about things, complete accuracy in quotations, if certain things were said all for sure, is required, to the best of one's ability to provide it here, you know. As for my family, Dad's having mental problems, unfortunately. He's still here, of course, thankfully. But I really don't know here, just yet, exactly how much time he has left in this world, for sure, quite obviously enough. I hope he has at least a few months left, but I don't know if he has at least another year to live before he leaves this world yet, quite naturally enough. EC, I hope your memory gets better soon, and all, for that matter. Yes, I probably would have caught that thing with your IPA dynasty a little while back, but jg2977 got to that booboo first. As for me, it looks like I am now a deck of cards, in a manner of speaking, in terms of how old I am as of today, hahahaha. Meaning I'm 52, in truth. I've mainly been working on my story-related projects, when possible, lately, when not going to the library or to a fitness center to shoot some hoops for a bit or hitting the shops or something. Unfortunately, my right arm still gives me trouble at times, so my shots are often off-target or not strong enough when I'm trying to shoot hoops for a bit. I've probably not got a good shooting eye, or at least I've not often done a lot of, or any, shooting hoops, for many long years, since I was at least still in my forties or thirties or twenties or something, I think. I'll most likely be posting a new graphics request soon, perhaps within the next 24 hours, if not within a few hours, of this very post here. I know it'll probably take a while for the existing graphics modders still active here to create enough of the required things around here. But maybe by April or so, around here, I'll ultimately be able to create a new saved game somehow, in order to incorporate such graphics, if not even sooner than that, if all goes sufficiently according to plan here, somehow, Lord willing and all, of course. I've also just begun to learn Portuguese, Danish, Dutch, AND Chinese on Duolingo, to go along with my other foreign language courses of Spanish, French, Hebrew, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Scots Gaelic, and Swahili for it. Of course, the Chinese used in the related language course is of the Pinyin variety, not the Wade-Giles variety, for instance. And the strokes are hard to remember, as well. I'm still most advanced with Spanish. But I've also learned at least some French, at least, among other languages I've been learning on Duolingo for quite some time in my life. It's at least a little bit challenging to learn some languages, of course, on it, but I'm still pressing on with learning them, as best as I can and all, for sure. I'll talk more soon here, I'm fairly sure, folks. But for now, this birthday boy has to eat his supper, at least, in any case, most definitely. It's been a rather challenging 52 years for me in my own life on this planet of ours, in many ways, at times, of course. But thankfully, I'm still around somehow in this world of ours, by the amazing grace and the undeserved mercy of Almighty God above, my Heavenly Father, extended to this unworthy sinner that I am, by the Blood of Jesus that makes me a part of God's Eternal Kingdom and Family forever, no doubt. CD out.

Happy (very belated) Birthday CD! Gonna browse through the pages I've missed here and catch up. Really liking the Harrisburg Keystones jerseys, I have family in Harrisburg so I might borrow it for a minor league team for one of my own leagues.

Some very sad news to report here from CD
Folks,
I have some very sad news to report. My dear Dad is quite likely to depart very soon from this world and this life. It may even be within a week, if not even sooner than that. It may even be just days from now, at that. Of course, this is very hard for Mom to deal with, and I'm crying as I write these words, to be sure. There are some serious matters she's trying to take care of right now, getting things taken care of related to Dad and his imminent departure from this life, plus trying to make sure that I'll be able to have as much independence as possible in the future, whether or not we're living together in the future, or whether or not something happens that forces us to live apart from each other or she leaves this world as well. Mom has had her own health issues, of course, but right now, her main concerns are related both to Dad and to me. Dad is going, and whether or not something eventually happens to her, she wants to see that I'm provided for as needed and all in the future, and that I'm hopefully able to live as independently as possible, and have a safe place to deal with my Dad's departure and my own personal grief related to it, with as little interference and all as possible from others in this world in the future. As for me, I'm still writing, of course, with or without AI assistance and all. Hence why you haven't heard much from me of late, if anything. I'll probably be doing a good deal more writing, as I work through my feelings here, obviously. Please pray for me and Mom and the rest of our family, that we may be able to deal well enough with these things, whether related to Dad or not, everyone. Thank you for your time and all, everyone. Your periodical prayers have been, and are, and will be greatly appreciated by me, at least, for sure, just so you all know this well enough here. It's been really hard for me to not be able to watch someone I spent most of my life around go down like he has the past few years. I won't be able to attend any funeral he might have, either, because I can't handle seeing certain things. I haven't seen him more than once where he's been for nearly two years, because I can't bear to see him like that, especially with his mind as wrecked as it was or is because of Alzheimer's. Thankfully, in eternity, with Jesus, Alzheimer's will be no more, just like autism won't be around. And neither will Down's Syndrome, among many other Earthly health conditions, of course, for sure. I'll talk more later, as possible and all. But right now, I'm going to try and deal with Dad's likely imminent departure as best as I can, in whatever ways I possibly can, including, of course, thanking God for all the years and all the time I was able to spend in this life with my dear Dad, if his departure from this world is truly due to happen very soon from now, for sure. We had our difficulties with each other, no doubt, but I'm sure he's loved me, and I know I've loved him, and all, all these years we've spent with each other, at least in our minds and all, if not necessarily with each other near each other in a physical sense, at least. CD out.

EC, you forgot to put who was seeded seventh in the rankings for playoff contenders in your IPA thread before the start of the Pro Cup Finals, when you previewed the series in question. You might want to attend to that here, I think. Just so you know.
Dad's still with us, but it still doesn't look too good for him, in terms of potential long-term survival in our world, I think. I don't expect him to last much longer, in truth. But that's up to our Father in Heaven, of course. Two of my siblings came to see him for a bit this weekend, possibly to spend some time with him before his likely soon departure from this world, while they still could. I don't know how much more time he has left, obviously, just yet, though. Please continue to pray for us all in my own family and all, and please also pray that everything related well enough to his likely imminent departure goes sufficiently well and all, and what might follow for any or all of us, in the future, even for me and for my Mom. Thanks. CD out.

CD, I reviewed all my previews for the IPA playoffs. I did not see where I left off the #7 team anywhere.
Which post is it in the IPA dynasty thread? CD, please send me a Private Message when I make mistakes on my Dynasty report. Remember, this is the OOTP Graphics and Mods Forum. We really should keep our posts pretty much to Graphics. Straying occasionally to personal family matters is tolerated here, but we should really use Private Messages to do non-graphics business. EC, maybe it might be a good idea to make Glasco the Celtics, for instance. Perhaps some IPA teams without Pro Cup titles could use some rebrands or new looks for themselves this offseason, in either pre-23-style or post-22-style items. Just a thought, that's all. CD out.

I'll try to remember that for future reference. But I'm a little bit out of sorts with certain matters at this particular time in my life, unfortunately, as you might logically expect here, for certain reasons, with quite a few things on my mind at the present time, at certain times. CD out.

EC,
Do you plan to potentially rebrand certain teams for your IPA before the next season? If so, I'd suggest, for instance, that Glasco perhaps be rebranded as the Celtics, seeing as they've not yet somehow actually won a Pro Cup as either the Athletics or the Foxhounds, if I remember correctly. As for perhaps picking up after you, I'm still not past OOTP 22, which might make that sort of thing hard for me to do here, in the near future. I've got the needed information for OOTP 23 and 24, but I'm likely saving those versions for my next computer, for various reasons, if I'm not too mistaken here, including hard drive space concerns. I'm not sure how many of the graphics there are on these forums that are sufficiently related to your IPA teams I have available for possible use now, though, whether I've made them or not, to be honest. But I'm sure I still have many graphics related to many of those teams, if not all of them, in any case, which are still in pre-23-style format. I might get back into doing more graphics around here, soon, but right now, I'm mainly doing a rather good deal of writing, with or without considerable AI assistance, for at least one story hinted at in my signature at present. Also, I've been visiting a library or libraries quite often, and even learning more of several languages, including German now, along with me shooting hoops periodically. I've been shooting hoops often of late, when I can, and I'm even able to periodically sink left-handed shots, even though I'm mostly right-handed, at varying distances, at that. Getting some sufficiently usable AI-generated team and/or league-related logos isn't always easy, of course, for obvious reasons, though. At least with the sites I know of well enough that I can visit and all, that is. I'm so not a fan of sponsorship badges and all on uniforms, like on MLB and NBA and NHL and soccer uniforms, either, for instance. They should be quickly dumped, in my humble opinion, if and whenever possible. Same with most corporate names on many MLB or NFL or NBA or NHL or other leagues' venues, for that matter. Like you, EC, I generally prefer a more traditional approach for many uniforms in the Big 4 sports here in North America, if and whenever possible, and/or team names. At least as far as being sponsor-covered, anyway, that is. And away with the manufacturers' marks as well, if and whenever possible, for sure, because they're too distracting, many times, on various uniforms, I think. Others may disagree with my thoughts here, of course, but I'd rather see cleaner uniforms, even if their used patterns are uncommon or use rarely-used colors at times for them. There are some good-looking soccer uniforms, I admit, when they're not too bizarre or covered with the same sponsors, for instance, for multiple teams. As for alternate names that the minor and independent league teams often use with certain promotions for themselves, some of them are good ones, of course, while others should be forgotten entirely, I think. I can't think of any at present, in either case, but I'm sure that there are many in either case, just the same. And the Gold Diggers alternate nickname was not a bad one that a team in California was recently considering using, but the used imagery could have perhaps somehow used somewhat better work for it, whether it was an inappropriate nickname or not in truth, in the current social climate and all, in my humble view. I'll probably write much more later, I'm sure, EC and/or others. But for now, at least, I suppose that I'd best get back to writing much more for my own current story or stories, and also keep quite a lot of people in prayer and all, including my Dad and Mom and me and certain others around me, of course, including my brother-in-law's mother, for instance, who seems to be having some health and/or age-related issues as well, for that matter. Please take care, and all, I hope, everyone. Ciao, adios, adieu, auf wiedersehn, shalom, and I'll hopefully see you all again sometime later. CD out.
