Development Sliders

I'm starting a franchise in OOTP 26 and noticed the new development sliders. Does anyone have any tips on how to best utilize the sliders?

Also, there's a development risk on each player's profile, what does that detail?

Disappointing that not one person has replied, as I play the regular game and am not necessarily familiar with these either, particularly the "risk" part

So the sliders are a kind of passive control over how a player develops. You can take time out of one area of their game and assign it to another. However, the taking one point out of an area will be more likely to have a negative impact than putting one point into an area will be likely to have a positive impact. Personally I like to use the sliders for players that are very one dimensional (like a leadoff contact hitter), but I'll defer to what other people think is the best way to utilize the sliders because I think there are a lot of right answers

The development risk is a new metric that is basically what your scout thinks is the risk of a player reaching their full potential. It's sort of a combination of things like the scouting accuracy, the player's age, their talent, their current ratings, their position, etc.

Hi Will (and others) - would you suggest that the development sliders set by AI should be pretty good in most cases or it is important that time is spent tailoring for all individual players? If it is important to be tailoring it'd be great if someone could share some guidance on their approach to sliders to obtain success (as I am currently failing with development big time).

Cheers
