Early May Live Player Update
Any guesses on what players will make big jumps?
Corbin Carroll from low diamond to high diamond? Hunter Greene from low diamond to perfect? Jung Hoo lee to gold? |

I'm going carroll! Stashed him here and he's my favorite player (Though I gave my bobblehead to my cousin, she has a massive teenage crush!)

This is about live card spec. Buy a silver for 120 PP and then sell for 1200 when the card goes gold. Low diamond to high diamond doesn't make much of a difference in price, although the card ratings will improve if you're using it somewhere. Diamond to perfect is the holy grail.
The first live update is a tough nut to crack because live cards are still overpriced. And it's only a sixth of the season, so you need massive over-achievement to get a bump to the next level. Also, don't forget to unload cards that will drop. Better to quick-sell a diamond for 4000 than get stuck with it as a gold worth 1000. |

Wondering if Mookie Betts' defense spikes at SS or they slow roll the huge (low sample size) improvement.

At this point, stats should account for about 1/6 of ratings and projections about 5/6. Don't look for major improvements in this update unless the player has been both insanely good and insanely above expectations. ZiPS is bearish on Mookie's shortstop defense, and rightly so. No one learns to be a top tier major league shortstop in his thirties, even in today's...uh...defensively challenged environment. Mookie is top three offensively but well down the list defensively (according to ZiPS).
